Fantasy Football Start ’em Sit ’em Week 14 (Playoffs Round 1)

The Playoffs are finally here for most leagues around the country. If you are in one of those weird leagues where there is an extra week of the regular season then you probably play non-PPR as well (gross). I am strictly speaking to the people who fought hard to barely squeak by in Week 13 to get in, as well as the team’s out there with a first round bye scoping out the field from their ivory tower.

However you got to this point, take a moment to smell the roses and give yourself a pat on the back. What you did was very difficult and will likely be one of the hardest fantasy seasons you will experience. At the end of the day, no one remembers who came in second and definitely not third. If it’s by an inch or a mile, winning is winning. So go out there this week and leave it all on the fantasy field. There is no next time..you can’t get this week back. Good luck Couch Fam!

Myles Gaskin – Dolphins RB

Gaskin returned from a sudden knee injury that caused him to miss the last 4 games, returning in Week 13 to the tune of 21 touches for 90 yards with no scores. With that much volume and no real competition for touches, Gaskin should be able to produce more with opportunities against a Chiefs defense that will look to shut down the passing game and force rookie QB Tua Tagovailoa to beat them with his arm. I foresee a lot of quick dump off passes from Tua to Gaskin, who will likely be working as a safety valve for the young and inexperienced signal-caller.

Week 14 Sit ’em Miles Sanders – Eagles RB

If somehow you made it to the fantasy playoffs while starting Sanders the last two weeks that is more of a testament to the depth of your team than anything else. Coming off a Week 13 dud of 31 yards on 10 carries, Sanders has been nothing short of a bust this season. Things can get even worse against a stout Saints defense who have been hitting their stride as of late and have legitimate Super Bowl aspirations.

Making matters even more unpredictable for the Eagles offense, rookie QB Jalen Hurts will be starting under center over the disappointing Carson Wentz. The Saints defense will almost certainly try and confuse Hurts with exotic blitzes and schemes, which will likely keep Sanders from and the Eagles offense from flying high in Week 14.
