Here across the Asia Pacific region each year people celebrate a long holiday season starting at Thanksgiving Day and ending a couple of months later with Chinese New Year which falls around the third week of January this year. As always, we express our appreciation and wishes for many blessings throughout this holiday season as it leads us into 2012.

While the many pieces to the global economic puzzle are quite volatile, don’t be a doomsdayer and don’t believe all you read and hear in the mainstream media. We can easily see that the business interests and plans unfolding through our new Vision To Victory Enterprises headquarters at the Kerry Hotel @ Kerry Parkside have nowhere to go but up. Remember that at all times in your life, every single minute of the day, the spirit of life to expand, to grow, to contribute, the natural potential of the world is unlimited and in fact, never stops being there.

At the same time, the river of darkness, of oppression and evil, sad to say, is not far away either. So it is for each of us to diligently guard our businesses, guard our families, guard our hearts and our minds.

Thanks to all of our friends, family, readers, supporters, partners and clients, and to our new born son Vincent Louis, a wellspring of joy and grace, for making 2011 a delightful year to remember.

I am amazed as I sit here looking at this biz blog; to realize I haven’t posted anything new in far too many days, yet with joy I realize how the birth of our delightful son Vincent Louis along with moving into our splendid new headquarters here at the Kerry Hotel @ Kerry Parkside has truly redefined my sense of “busy and no sleep.”

Fabulous developments grace our lives, inspired undoubtedly by our new arrival, who seems to magically emanate unlimited grace and joy and goodness along with a constant 3 hour routine of sleep.cry.eat.poo.pee.sleep.cry.eat.poo.pee. Do I make it sound bad? That’s not my intention; there is no experienced quite like having a newborn, YOUR newborn in your presence.

Meanwhile, we’ve started up the Autumn Jazz Session in the 1st floor Cook Lounge downstairs every Friday afternoon; the Shanghai Gospel Ensemble were our guests last week and packed the house. Our rather fancy open house celebration is next week, nothing like the hectic fun of throwing a holiday party! Cheers from new daddy, Mario

You’re Invited! Reminiscent of my time entertaining guests on a luxury cruise ship, I am delighted to announce that I will be the table host at Blossoms restaurant at the Kerry Hotel Pudong. I invite you to ChiFan for Charity’s premiere dining and charity event for 2011 in Shanghai, held on Saturday 29th October 2011 at 7:30pm. As an added kicker to make the evening even more memorable, I will be doing a short jazz piano recital during dinner in our private dining room. Pretty cool, eh?

That’s the idea behind Chi Fan for Charity, a dining event that won Culinary Event of the Year in Beijing in 2010 and is now bringing its “Good Eats. Good Times.
