Next Year’s Obamacare Surprise That No One is Talking About

Currently, everyone is focused on the disaster of Obamacare.  It is textbook poor execution. If this was a startup, it would have been folded up and thrown out.

One of the ideas behind Obamacare was to get uninsured people access to insurance.  The number of uninsured constantly changed, and I don’t think it was a really “good” data driven number anyway.  The number was formed out of midair for political goals.

Now that we are on the cliff, there are millions of people losing their insurance because of the federal program.  Premiums are rising for most people, when the President promised that they would drop by “$2500 dollars” several times.

But, what about next year?  It’s going to get even worse.

Recall, many unions and corporations got one year exemptions or waivers.  Next year, they will have to go kneel at the feet of their favorite politician or regulator and beg (or make a political donation) to receive a new waiver-or all of their employees will lose their insurance.

What we are finding out is that Obamacare is causing more people to lose their insurance than the number of people that were theoretically uninsured in the first place.

When Reagan said the most fearful words a person can hear are, “We are from the government, and we are here to help.”, I think this is exactly what he meant.
