UniBank implements Ipsidy’s Verified biometric authentication solution with Datapro’s core banking system

Ipsidy Inc (OTCQX:IDTY), a provider of biometric identification and electronic transaction processing services, said Friday that it had partnered with UniBank Panama to integrate Ipsidy’s Verified, a mobile, biometric multi-factor authentication solution for banks with Datapro’s e-IBS core banking system.

Ipsidy’s Verified, is a novel cost-effective caller identification system. Verified leverages Ipsidy’s identity portal to help companies seamlessly authenticate a user’s identity. It provides a frictionless caller experience as callers simply login to Ipsidy Identity portal where they trigger an authentication request to the caller’s registered mobile phone.  

Datapro has integrated Ipsidy’s Verified into e-IBS to provide banking customers with an identity authentication solution that puts the banks’ account holders in control of their identities using their own devices. Unibank, an established user of Datapro’s core banking software, will become one of the first to offer the integrated multi factor authentication solution from Ipsidy. 

“We needed a secure but user-friendly solution to provide additional protection for our customers’ online and mobile account access, account change authorization as well as transaction approval. The Ipsidy/Datapro solution checks all the boxes,” said Nicolás Saval, vice president of technology, at Unibank. “The implementation was seamless from our point of view and we believe that the added account protection will give our customers increased comfort and confidence in their online and mobile banking experience.”

Unibank’s launch of Verified is subject to final local regulatory approvals.
