New Year’s Eve

Hope you had a good year and hope you doing something nice tonight.  Usually, we cook a nice dinner at home. This year since we are out of our apartment, that’s not possible so we will either order in or go out. I dislike going out on NYE because it’s so rushed.

I will be opening some champagne this evening.  Winston Churchill has some of the best champagne quotes.

Most of the time, people just pop the cork.  However, a really classic way to open champagne is with a saber.  One of these days I will get one.  Here is a campy video of Alton Brown showing the science and how to do it.
