What Do You Want At Events?

I have been to events, and I have been on panels at events.  I have put a couple of events together.  Not all of them are good.  Some events are a waste of time.  I see the panels talking about whatever and the audience is just cruising their phone.  Maybe they are taking notes, but I doubt it.

For certain, the price of admission at most of these things aren’t break even.  People make money off of them and I know I am giving away some free labor if I participate. The flip side is it might be good for our brand or help us network into other areas of the country where we aren’t known.

What I’d like to find out is what people really want to learn at events?  What is the number one thing they want to get out of them?  Number two?  Number three?
