1933 Industries sees flowering cycle begin at Las Vegas cultivation facility

1933 Industries Inc (CSE:TGIF) (OTCMKTS:TGIFF) has commenced the flowering cycle of its cannabis plants at its new indoor cultivation facility in Las Vegas.

The plants were transferred to the facility in August, where they completed a vegetative stage for four weeks. This week, three rooms of plants will begin the flowering cycle, which lasts about eight weeks.

“We are pleased with the progress we are making as we build out capacity over the next few months in Las Vegas to reach steady-state production,” CEO Chris Rebentisch said in a statement. “We are proven operators in the cannabis space and we are positioning ourselves to achieve the full potential of this sector.”

The first harvest from the three rooms is expected in early December, with subsequent harvests every two weeks. Meanwhile additional grow rooms will be added to the facility, bringing the total to 15.

“Our plants are performing very well in our state-of-the-art indoor facility and we are continuously learning and improving our processes,” Director of Cultivation Tim Spencer said in a statement. “The facility is specifically built with integrated technology with high controls and automation to cultivate high-quality craft cannabis at scale with assured consistency and efficiency.”

There are 26 strain varieties currently at the facility, and the company plans to augment that with an additional 12 Cannabis Cup award-winning strains in order to sustain production to flower and concentrate products.

“The increased output will provide sufficient supply for the production of our AMA branded products as well as for our licensing partners such as Blonde Cannabis, OG DNA Genetics, Jack Herer, and PLUGplay,” Spencer said.
