Empower Clinics touts triple-digit patient growth as subsidiary Sun Valley Health launches new services

Empower Clinics Inc (CSE:CBDT) (OTCMKTS:EPWCF) highlighted triple-digit patient growth and said its subsidiary Sun Valley Health will launch a slew of new services for patients. 

In a statement, the company said Thursday that it is launching seven new modalities and services for patients in the Sun Valley Health clinics starting on October 14.

Empower, which acquired the physician-staffed Sun Valley wellness clinics in May, said it continued to see the patient count in corporate clinics increase by triple digits. In September, the patient count expanded by 307% to 1,884, compared to 614 patients seen in September a year earlier.

“The tremendous year-over-year increase in patient visits is a testament to the operating strengths and patient management demonstrated by our clinic team members, each and every day,” said Empower CEO Steven McAuley in a statement.

“Their passion for patient wellbeing and the use of numerous communication tools ensures world-class service is provided throughout the entire patient journey,” he added.

Empower said that as part of expanding its health and wellness clinic model, it had already set up retail CBD product sales in-clinic, and now it was launching expanded physician-based services.

The new services include the following:

• Physician’s CBD enhanced massage, acupuncture, or cupping sessions;

• Introduction to alternative health and cannabinoid therapies by a physician;

• Comprehensive naturopathic patient analysis and consultation;

• Dietary antigen testing, physician Consultation/action plan and concierge blood draw;

• Neurotransmitter profile and physician consultation/action plan; and

• Spectracell micronutrient test and physician consultation/action plan

In a statement, Dustin Klein, director and vice president of Business Development at Empower Clinics said that by offering a new “suite of lab testing, alternative health consulting, and CBD therapies,” Empower was able to address the needs of its current patients and serve the community outside of cannabis that is seeking alternative health care.

“Incorporating our new modalities, high quality vitamins, supplements, and CBD products into our network of clinics is a natural progression toward our goal of becoming the nation’s premier alternative healthcare provider,” said Klein.

Empower Clinics is a Vancouver-based vertically integrated health and wellness company with its first hemp-derived CBD extraction facility under development. Its CBD is manufactured under the brand name Solievo, and the Sun Valley Health Clinics operate at nine locations in the US. It is the operator of an extraction facility in Oregon.
