The new executive will be responsible for ImmunoPrecise Antibodies’ corporate and business development activities as well as corporate and product strategic planning.

Iplayco Corp Ltd (CVE:IPC), the play equipment maker, has appointed retired PricewaterhouseCoopers Canada partner Barry Macdonald to its board of directors.  Macdonald joins the board as an independent director with immediate effect, the company announced in a statement Tuesday. He has been named chair of the company’s audit committee and will also serve on the compensation and corporate governance committees.

Nabis Holdings Inc (CSE:NAB) (OTCMKTS:NABIF), an investment company with interests across the cannabis sectors, bolstered its executive team Tuesday with the addition of accounting executive Nicole Rusaw as its chief financial officer.  Rusaw has spent more than 15 years working with pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies trading on both the TSX and the NASDAQ, the company said in a statement. She brings experience in regulatory and compliance matters, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning and equity financing.

Global Energy Metals Corporation (CVE:GEMC) (OTCMKTS:GBLEF) has revealed that it will be represented at the 2019 China Mining Summit in Tianjin, China.  In a statement on Tuesday, the company said its China-based strategic advisor Dr Wei Qian will hold meetings with key battery-mineral investors at Asia’s top mining conference.

Lydian International Ltd (TSE:LYD), the gold mine developer, has struck a third amended and restated forbearance agreement with its creditors, it said on Tuesday. The agreement is required due to the reported illegal blockades, which have prevented the firm and its contractors from entering its Amulsar project site in Armenia.

American Battery Metals Corporation (OTCMKTS:ABML) has revealed that it recently attended a Department of Energy, invite-only Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy office roundtable in Golden, Colorado. Pure Gold Mining Inc (CVE:PGM) (LON:PUR) (OTCMKTS:LRTNF) said the latest drilling at Wedge Zone at its flagship Madsen project in Red Lake, Ontario, has further underlined the potential of the mine currently being built there. Ongoing drilling has doubled the strike length of the zone and significantly, extended the gold system at Madsen to a total of seven kilometres, the Vancouver-based company said in a statement.

Nabis Holdings Inc (CSE:NAB) (OTCMKTS:NABIF) told shareholders on Tuesday that it is excited about the acquisition of a new dispensary that marks the cannabis company’s entrance into the booming California market. The Vancouver-based company noted that it has amended the terms of the acquisition to gain 100% ownership of the Desert’s Finest dispensary for US$5.6 million. The total price now consists of US$1.9 million in cash and US$3.8 million as a convertible note instead of a stock consideration.

CUI Global Inc (NASDAQ:CUI) announced Tuesday it has completed the sale of its electromechanical business segment to a private entity for $15 million. In other news, the company also said it has appointed its vice chairman James O’Neil to the additional role of CEO with immediate effect. O’Neil succeeds William Clough, who remains as CUI Global’s executive chairman, president and chief legal officer. In addition, Sarah Tucker, an oil and gas industry veteran, has been appointed to the board, effective immediately.

Pressure BioSciences Inc’s (OTCMKTS:PBIO) patented pressure cycling technology (PCT) was featured in a presentation at the Annual Meeting of the International Gynecologic Cancer Society in Brazil. Marrone Bio Innovations Inc (NASDAQ:MBII) announced Tuesday that its novel Bacillus biofungicide, marketed in the US as Stargus for specialty crops, has been approved for use in Mexico. Stargus will be used in Mexico to control downy mildews, late blight and a broad range of other plant-related diseases on zucchini, squash, chayote, melon, cucumber, watermelon and potato crops, according to a statement.

Australis Capital Inc. (CSE:AUSA) (OTCMKTS:AUSAF) revealed Tuesday that it has been granted a Special Use Permit by the city of North Las Vegas for the Tropical Parkway land acquired with its acquisition of Green Therapeutics announced in May. In a statement, Australis noted that the permit for cultivation and production of cannabis products will enable the group to transfer and consolidate the licenses currently held at various locations to the Tropical Parkway location in Nevada. With this approval, the company said, it can proceed with the required off-site work, utilities, and preconstruction on-site work such as grading and leveling. Hill Street Beverage Company Inc. (CVE:BEER) has announced that further to its press release dated May 28, 2019, the due diligence period for its proposed acquisition of OneLeaf Cannabis Corp. has expired, and the parties have determined not to proceed with the proposed transaction.
