Phunware brings brands and advertising platforms closer with blockchain-enabled data exchange integration

Phunware Inc (NASDAQ:PHUN) has integrated its blockchain-enabled data exchange with a set of supported programmatic advertising platforms. 

The integration allows brands and marketers to design and target custom audiences and deliver them to the supported advertising platforms. Brands get access to predefined demographic and interest segments not typically found on demand-side platforms, the company said.

The first such advertising platform is Beeswax, which the company said will allow brands to issue targeted media using Phunware’s data and receive transparent reporting about the results.

To get the ball rolling, Phunware is offering a $10,000 credit to the first 10 Beeswax customers to activate audiences on its platform through 2019.

“By integrating our blockchain-enabled data exchange with programmatic advertising platforms, we empower brands with end-to-end transparency from audience design to audience activation while also compensating consumers for the use of their data,” Phunware’s Director of Product, James Gray said in a statement.

Phunware is able to reward customers with its digital asset PhunCoin by creating impression logs as part of campaigns activated with Phunware data.
