Co-Diagnostics Inc (NASDAQ:CDOX) has contracted Wiconsin-based biotechnology manufacturer Promega Corporation to boost the production capacity for the company’s Logix Smart coronavirus (COVID-19) test. The company is continuing to ramp up domestic production of the tests after receiving an Emergency Use Authorization from the US Food and Drug Administration on April 3. Salt Lake City-based Co-Diagnostics is involved with Test Utah, an initiative dedicated to significantly increasing the rate of coronavirus testing in the state.

Mota Ventures Corp (CSE:MOTA) (OTCMKTS:PEMTF) said Tuesday that it’s First Class CBD and Nature’s Exclusive brands gained over 6,000 new customers in the period from April 1 to April 11, and said 1,700 customers bought from the Immune Support product line which has been received exceptionally well since it launched in March. Additionally, the e-commerce focused company said it saw a record 18,962 new customers enrolling for monthly subscriptions in March. The company said Immunity Blend is currently Mota’s top seller in the Immune Support product line.

Cardiol Therapeutics Inc (TSE:CRDL) (OTCQX:CRTPF) announced promising new study data on Tuesday highlighting the effectiveness of its nanotechnology approach to drug delivery. Results showed that there was an exponential increase in the uptake of Cardiol’s nanoparticles in heart failure hearts compared to a control group in a pre-clinical model of non-ischemic heart failure.

Kincora Copper Ltd. (CVE:KCC) said it has been granted a new exploration license (EL8960) covering 382.6 square kilometres, named the Nevertire project, located in the Lachlan Fold Belt central west New South Wales in Australia. The company said its portfolio of the Nevertire and Nyngan projects consolidates a land position of 1,144 square kilometres in the most prospective and shallow to moderate cover of the northern Junee-Narromine Belt.

Lingo Media Corporation (CVE:LM) (OTC:LMDCF) said its ELL Technologies Ltd subsidiary has enhanced its language learning platform with new features, including additional resources for teachers and white label capacity for distributors and customers. Chief among the new features is ELL’s Studio App, which lets students practice pronunciation using their mobile devices and provides instant feedback to help them improve.

Biocept, Inc. (NASDAQ:BIOC), a leading commercial provider of liquid biopsy tests, said that further to its announcement on April 14, 2020, regarding a registered direct offering, it has entered into a securities purchase agreement with several institutional investors for the issuance and sale of 22,300,000 shares of its common stock at a price of $0.46 each, raising aggregate gross proceeds of approximately $10.3 million. Maxim Group LLC is acting as the sole placement agent for the offering. The group said the offering is expected to close on or about April 16, 2020, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.

CUI Global Inc (NASDAQ:CUI) said its wholly-owned subsidiary Orbital Gas Systems Ltd has been awarded a contract by a major UK energy provider to design, produce and commission its first-ever biomethane-to-grid plants for the UK water industry. The contract calls for the provision of an initial biomethane Grid Entry Unit (GEU) followed by a second unit, both to be delivered in 2020. Each unit is valued at approximately $550,000.

Capstone Turbine Corporation (NASDAQ:CPST) said Tuesday it has expanded its long-term microturbine rental fleet with the addition of another 1 megawatt (MW) C1000 Signature Series microturbine in the Permian Basin for one of the world’s largest oil and gas companies. The new long-term rental contract was secured by Lone Star Power Solutions, Capstone’s exclusive distributor in Arizona, Texas, and the Gulf states. The microturbine is expected to be delivered later this summer and commissioned in the fall of 2020.

ImmunoPrecise Antibodies Ltd. (CVE:IPA) (OTCQB:IPATF) said its subsidiary Talem Therapeutics has entered into a research license agreement with Janssen Research & Development, LLC providing Janssen exclusive access to a panel of novel, monoclonal antibodies against an undisclosed target. Under the agreement, ImmunoPrecise  - a global leader in therapeutic antibody discovery and development – said Janssen holds an option to acquire all commercial rights to the antibodies. The financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Loop Insights Inc (CVE:MTRX) announced a new agreement Tuesday that sees the artificial intelligence provider tapping into the Indonesian retail market. The Vancouver-based company signed a memorandum of understanding with Indonesia’s Frontier Technology, which boasts an expansive network of clients in the lucrative Indonesian retail market. Indonesian companies are projected to spend US$11.9 billion on information technology in 2020, according to data from the International Data Corporation.

BevCanna Enterprises Inc (CSE:BEV) (OTCMKTS:BVNNF), a cannabis-infused beverages maker, said Tuesday that it has closed a non-brokered private placement raising $300,000, while also winding up the first tranche of a non-brokered financing of secured convertible debentures for gross proceeds of $630,000. In a statement, BevCanna CFO John Campbell said the company was “very pleased” with the confidence that investors had shown in the company, especially during these “uncertain” economic times.

American Manganese Inc (CVE:AMY) (OTCPINK:AMYZF) has said it and Voltabox of Texas Inc have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) under which Voltabox will provide end-of-life lithium-ion batteries for commercial-scale recycling of cathode materials using the company’s RecycLiCo patented process. Voltabox, a subsidiary of Voltabox AG, is a system provider for e-mobility in industrial applications using custom configurations of lithium-ion battery technology,
