American Battery Metals appoints University of San Francisco professor and former investment banker David Batstone to the board

American Battery Metals Corporation (OTCQB:ABML), a lithium-ion battery recycling technology and advanced extraction company with extensive mineral resources in Nevada, announced Wednesday that David Batstone has been appointed to its board of directors.

Batstone currently oversees the company’s impact investing strategy that aims to power the clean energy economy and his appointment comes as the firm is in the process of changing its name to American Battery Technology Company (ABTC).

The group noted that Batstone is the co-founder and president of the Not For Sale and co-founder and managing partner of Just Business that are behind the success of Relocity, Rebbl, and other companies that leverage business success to address human trafficking, climate change, and greater access to economic opportunity for all.

He also is a former investment banker in the technology industry and holds an appointment as a professor of entrepreneurship and innovation at the University of San Francisco School of Management.

“David has already contributed to ABTC by leading its impact investment strategy,” said American Battery CEO Doug Cole in a statement. “His entrepreneurial approach of ‘doing well by doing good’ aligns with ABTC’s commitment to renewable energy and environmental stewardship.”

Batstone noted that the company is at the forefront of the new energy revolution.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of this leading-edge company as we provide creative circular solutions for the battery metals supply chains while solving the pressing issue of battery e-waste,” he said. “Our efforts will help pave the way to a cleaner, sustainable future.”

American Battery is uniquely positioned to supply battery metals through its three divisions: lithium-ion battery recycling, extraction technology, and primary resources. The company recently announced the groundbreaking of its lithium-ion battery recycling facility in Fernley, Nevada.

The company has built a clean technology platform that increases production of primary metals used in the batteries that power electric cars, grid storage applications, consumer electronics, and tools. The green platform creates a circular economy for battery metals that champions ethical and environmentally sustainable sourcing of critical materials.
