Great Bear Resources delivers more high-grade gold intercepts on two-year anniversary of landmark LP Fault discovery

Great Bear Resources Ltd (CVE:GBR) (OTCQX:GTABF) provided more high-grade gold drill results from the LP Fault on the two-year anniversary of the milestone discovery.

Ongoing drilling at LP Fault outlined high-grade domain long sections adjacent to the north of the previously disclosed BR7 domain, the company said in a statement.

Drill results from the most recent batch of 18 new holes include 50.05 grams per ton (g/t) gold over 2.3 metres, 61.2 g/t gold over 1.1 metres and 29.52 g/t gold over 2.5 metres, which occurred within a broader interval of 2.1 g/t gold over 49.25 metres.

Other holes targeted the bulk-tonnage-style lower-grade envelope that occurs next to, and between, the various higher-grade domains within the LP Fault, Great Bear told shareholders, calling the areas “important for future bulk tonnage gold mineral resource estimation.”

As for the two new domains, BR1 has a surface strike length of 850 metres and was drilled to a depth of up to 430 metres, while AURO20 links BR1 to BR7 and has a strike length of 120 metres with a vertical extent of 420 metres.

Great Bear is planning drilling to intersect the various high-grade domains at 40 to 50 metre spacing, it said, which should be completed from surface to an average of approximately 400 metres depth by the end of the year.

“We are very pleased to mark the two-year anniversary of the LP Fault discovery by entering the final months of near-surface maiden resource estimation drilling, with results published from 318 of approximately 400 anticipated drill holes,” Great Bear CEO Chris Taylor said in a statement.

Taylor added that the company will continue to provide regular updates on additional domains “as drilling nears completion within the various areas.”

The LP Fault is on the company’s flagship Dixie project in Red Lake, Ontario.
