Else Nutrition Holdings earns FODMAP Friendly certification

Else Nutrition Holdings Corp (CVE:BABY) (OTCMKTS:BABY) (FRA:0YL), an Israel-based food and nutrition company, said it has attained the FODMAP Friendly certification.

The distinction is a mark for products that are safe for those suffering from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) symptoms.

FODMAP is short for Fermentable Oligosaccharides, Disaccharides, Monosaccharides and Polyols, which are short-chain carbohydrates (sugars) the small intestine absorbs poorly. Approximately one in seven or 15% of the global population suffers from IBS type symptoms.

Additionally, many more people require a diet low in FODMAPs to alleviate IBS symptoms. As such, the FODMAP Friendly Certification is reserved for food products that have been laboratory tested and have low FODMAP levels.

“Wanting to support stomach wellness, attaining the FODMAP Certification was important as it gives our customers the assurance that Else products are safe for those with IBS symptoms,” Hamutal Yitzhak, CEO and co-founder of Else Nutrition said in a statement. “It aligns with our product DNA of Clean Label, whole food nutrition that parents can feel good about providing to their children.”

Else Nutrition said it will add this latest certification to its portfolio of distinguished certifications which include The Clean Label ProjectTM as well as certifications for being a Plant-Based Product, and Beyond Soy for being Soy-free.
