As a child of the 80′s, I have loads of happy memories revolving around my favorite childhood movies. One of my all time, best-loved films would have to be The Land Before Time. This tale of Little Foot, Cera, Petrie, and all their prehistoric pals kept me on the edge of my seat as a child, and I was cheering them on as they searched for their families and of course, that leafy, green food. 

Now, I am excited to introduce my own kids to Little Foot and the rest of the crew. There’s a brand new movie featuring these much-loved characters, and it’s coming to DVD on February 2, 2016! How cool is that?! 

The Land Before Time: Journey of the Brave features brand new adventures, and loads of surprises along the way. One thing I absolutely love is the fact that country music legend Reba McEntire plays Etta, a brand new character! Also joining the adventure is Damon Wayans, Jr. Yep, this film has an all-star cast! 

​Five best friends set out on a courageous rescue packed with laughter, thrills and music in the all-new animated movie, The Land Before Time: Journey of the Brave coming to DVD and Digital HD on February 2, 2016, from Universal 1440 Entertainment, a production entity of Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. In this exciting and heartwarming adventure, young Apatosaurus Littlefoot and his four dinosaur pals, Cera, Ducky, Petrie and Spike, embark on an ambitious quest to find Littlefoot’s missing dad, making new friends and learning valuable life lessons along the way. New to the hugely popular franchise is the Queen of Country Music, Reba McEntire voicing one of two new characters, Etta. The Golden Globe and Grammy nominee also performs 1 of the 4 all new songs in the movie, “Look for the Light.” Voicing the second new character is none other than Critics’ Choice TV Award Nominee, Damon Wayans Jr. as Wild Arms.
 
Inspired by the 1988 classic feature film produced by Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall, The Land Before Time: Journey of the Brave DVD will be available only at Walmart and walmart.com. In conjunction with this release, comes The Land Before Time compilation album. The album features some of the best-loved songs from all of the previous Land Before Time films and will be available digitally January 29, 2016, on Back Lot Music. 

SYNOPSIS
Join your favorite young dinosaurs, Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Petrie and Spike, on their exciting adventure to rescue Littlefoot’s father. As they travel across strange landscapes and meet new friends, Etta (voiced by Reba McEntire), Wild Arms (voiced by Damon Wayans Jr.) Littlefoot and friends discover that by pulling together they can overcome any challenge. Filled with fun songs, surprises and laughter, it’s an inspiring tale of friendship and courage that the whole family will treasure.

OUR THOUGHTS:

We really enjoyed this film! My kids, who are crazy for anything involving dinosaurs, became totally engrossed in this story, and they even had plenty of laughs. The movie is fast-paced, heartwarming, and sure to bring smiles and giggles to the whole family. 

We also really loved the music in the film. My husband grew up on Reba, and while he actually despises country music, the combo of Reba and Little Foot made him feel a wave of sweet nostalgia. 

Overall, we would definitely recommend checking this movie out. It’s a wonderful, heartwarming tale that encourages friendship and working together, and it might even bring back some childhood memories for Mom and Dad!
