My 6 year old daughter, Sophie, is a total fashionista. She loves nothing more than dressing up in pretty, frilly clothing and being the talk of the playground. She also hates getting even a speck of dirt on her, so sometimes, things get interesting. She’s definitely a little diva, and a girly-girl at heart.

Since Sophie’s 6 going on 16 and her favorite thing in the world to do is go shopping for clothing, I am always on the lookout for well-made, affordable fashions. I prefer not to go shopping at those big-box supercenters, since their offerings aren’t exactly unique and sometimes, the quality tends to be lacking. We much prefer privately owned, boutique type stores for our fashion needs.

So naturally, when I was introduced to Designs by Meghna, I was incredibly excited. Decked out with girly details like ruffles, bows and sequins, the adorable apparel and accessories from Designs by Meghna are a dream for girls to wear. Designs by Meghna Uses comfy fabrics that feel great all day, and these darling brand designs looks right at home for parties or playtime. This line is surprisingly affordable, too!

We received three absolutely stunning designs to check out for ourselves. They arrived neatly packaged in pretty tissue paper, and Sophie felt like a kid on Christmas morning when she opened the package. Boy, was she excited!

We received 2 red and black dresses, along with one very pretty white dress that will be perfect for summer. All of these dresses are a size 6, and they fit my Sophie perfectly.

The Red & Black Dot Lace Dress is absolutely adorable. It’s incredibly well made, and gives the classic look of lace a fun twist with the vibrant red and black dot design.

This dress features a zippered back, and doesn’t restrict movement at all. Sophie was able to run and play in this dress, even though it would look more appropriate at a nice restaurant or party. Talk about versatile!

This flowy, lightweight white dress is my personal favorite of the bunch. It’s got a ethereal, hippie vibe, and is sure to please any fans of Bohemian styled clothing. This offers shoulder cut-outs for a fun, feminine look, and it features a simple button and loop closure at the back of the neck.

I will say this: The material of this dress is rather thin, which makes it perfect for warmer weather. Just be sure that your daughter’s undergarments aren’t a dark color, or else they will be visible through the dress. We learned that the hard way when Sophie tried it on for the first time. Nude or white undergarments are ideal while wearing this beautiful little number.

Last but certainly not least, we received this super-sophisticated, red and black houndstooth dress. It has cap sleeves, a pretty bow at the neck, and has a zippered back. This dress is absolutely wonderful, and would be great for any Daddy Daughter Dances or a nice dinner out.

This dress is made from a heavier fabric, so it could really be worn year round. In colder weather, I would pair this with some thick tights or leggings for a cute, pulled together look.

Overall, I am absolutely delighted with our experience with Designs by Meghna. All three of these adorable dresses are well made, and they all fit my daughter perfectly. I love the pretty, feminine styling found in these dresses, and I look forward to ordering more from this great brand in the future. In fact, I have a little Wish List started already!
