Lenovo Tab 2 A7-20 Wi-Fi only Tablet Launched in India at Rs. 5,499

After a long wait, Chinese tech-giant Lenovo has expanded its tablet offerings in the Indian market. The company has introduced Tab 2 A7-20 with a tempting set of specs at Rs. 5,499, and is going straight against the new ZenPad C 7.0 launched by Asus. Lenovo Tab 2 A7-20 is currently available at a discounted price tag of Rs. 4,999 at Snapdeal.com.

In terms of specs, the new budget Tablet from Lenovo features a 7-inch IPS display with a screen-resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It features 170 pixels per inch, and powers up by a quad-core processor from MediaTek clocked at 1.3GHz, coupled with 1GB of RAM. The internal memory equipped with this is 8GB, and can expanded further up to 32GB via micro-SD card.

Lenovo Tab 2 A7-20 features a 2-megapixel rear-camera with LED flash and 0.3-megapixel front-facing snapper. It delivers decent image quality in different conditions, and pairs up with standard connectivity options including Wi-Fi, USB OTG, and micro-USB 2.0. It’s a Wi-Fi only tablet and does not offers SIM card slots for telecom connectivity. However, the best part is, it runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat out-of-the box, and is upgradable to the latest iteration of Android, version 5.0 Lollipop. The battery of this device features a capacity of 3,450mAh.

Notably, the 2G variant of this tablet, Tab 2 A7-30 is already hitting the shelves at Rs. 8,500, while the 3G is coming at a decent Rs. 11,800. Apart from SIM card slots and connectivity improvements, all other in the 2G and 3G variant of this tablet are same as in Lenovo Tab 2 A7-20.

Lenovo has launched a massive selection of smartphones, and with the festive season coming, the new Tab 2 A7-20 is also an addition to this list. Not long before, the company introduced its big-screened Phablet, Phab Plus at Rs. 18,490. The device packs a whopping 6.8-inch full-HD display powered with Snapdragon 615 SoC, features a 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, and houses a humongous non-removable Li-Po 3,500mAh battery. It offers 32GB of internal memory expandable up to 64 gigs, and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop-based Vibe UI and is currently available at famous ecommerce portal, Amazon India.
