Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro Specs Tipped On GFXbench
The rumoured “Pro” version of Samsung Galaxy A9, which was said to be under works last month, has been spotted on GFXbench listing revealing full specifications. The listing features a tempting set of specs and highlights the same codename “SM-A9100”, which was tipped last month for Galaxy A9 Pro claiming that the handset was still in the nascent stages of development.

However, according to the featured listing, Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro looks just ready to take on leading mid-range players. GFXbench revealed that the handset will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the box, and will sport a 5.5-inch full-HD display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It will incorporate Qualcomm’s octa-core processor (possibly Snapdragon 652) clocked at 1.8GHz with Adreno 510 GPU and a whopping 4GB of DDR3 RAM.
Other elements revealed by the listing included 32 gigs of inbuilt memory, a much improved 15-megapixel rear camera with face-detection, LED flash, auto-focus, and a 7-megapixel front-facing shooter. Plus, only 25GB will be allowed out of dedicated 32GB, and support for full-HD video recording will also be endowed with both rear and front-facing snappers.
The connectivity options tipped for Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro included all basic options such as, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth, 3G HSPA+, 4G LTE, and ambient light sensor, GPS, compass, and accelerometer. However, it is important to note that there’s no word about the launch or even existence of this smartphone, and some big changes can definitely show up in the final model.
Last week, the South-Korean giant refreshed its Galaxy A series with a much improved Galaxy A7 (2016) and Galaxy A5 (2016) priced at Rs. 33,400 and Rs. 29,400 respectively. The new phones look fairly impressive but as of now, there’s no official word for the launch of Galaxy A9 in the country.
In December 2015, Samsung Galaxy A9 was launched in China with a prolific set of hardware-software specs. The handset features a 6-inch full HD Super AMOLED display, runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, and powers up by a 64-bit Snapdragon 652 octa-core SoC with 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt memory. It packs a superb 13MP rear and 8MP front-facing snapper, and is ideally backed by a powerful 4000 mAh battery and Quickcharge 2.0 tech.
