Black Lives Matter Terrorists Attack Philly Police After Lawful Shooting Of Walter Wallace Who Came At Cops With A Knife After Being Told To Stop

Police shot and killed 27-year-old Black man Walter Wallace on a Philadelphia street Monday afternoon after yelling at him to drop his knife. The shooting occurred before 4 p.m. as officers responded to a report of a person with a weapon, police spokesperson Tanya Little said.

When I was a kid, growing up in an all-white neighborhood, in all-white-schools, and in a town policed by all-white cops, my father gave me some very wise ‘life hack’ advice. He told me that if I was ever stopped by the police for any reason, that there were only 3 answers I was allowed to give regardless of the questions the police were asking me. Those three answers were, “yes, sir”, “no, sir”, and “no excuse, sir”. That advice is not only still valid today, but an absolute necessity.

“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. As a white father of children in the 21st century, I have done my best to instill a healthy fear and reverence of the police into my kids as well. I told my kids that the police officers are there to keep the peace, and deal with the bad guys, so do not ever give them any reason, at any time, to think that you are a threat. There is no ‘white privilege’ given by the police, and neither should there be. My father knew that if I mouthed off to the police, or worse, that bad things could happen to me, and he did not want that to take place. If you pose a threat to the cops, they are legally authorized to neutralize that threat in whatever manner they deem right at the time. If police break they law, then the matter is settled in a court of law with a judge and possibly a jury.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Walter Wallace in their time of grief, and we hope the Lord will greatly comfort them. But we dare not confuse nor conflate the lawful carrying out of the sworn duties of a police office with ‘police brutality’, as one has nothing to do with the other. If you charge at a cop with a weapon, and they shoot you after first telling you to drop your weapon, that’s exactly what should happen. Black Lives Matter rioters attacked the Philly police yesterday, and that cannot be allowed to stand. No one is safe when the mob rules.

Black lives do matter, and so does law and order, once that goes no one will be safe. Pray for the police of our nation who risk their lives daily to uphold the law and to keep us safe. We need them now more than ever.

Protests erupt in Philadelphia after police fatally shoot man; 30 officers injured

FROM NEWS CENTER MAINE: Police shot and killed a 27-year-old Black man on a Philadelphia street Monday afternoon after yelling at him to drop his knife. The shooting occurred before 4 p.m. as officers responded to a report of a person with a weapon, police spokesperson Tanya Little said. Officers were called to the Cobbs Creek neighborhood and encountered the man, later identified as Walter Wallace, who was holding a knife, Little said.

Officers ordered Wallace to drop the knife, but he instead “advanced towards” them. Both officers then fired “several times,” Little said. Wallace was hit in the shoulder and chest. One of the officers then put him in a police vehicle and drove him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, Little said.

Hundreds of protestors took to the streets to protest the shooting late Monday into early Tuesday with interactions between protesters and police turning violent at times, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported. Video showed many yelling at officers and crying.

Thirty officers were injured, most of them from being struck by projectiles such as bricks and rocks, according to preliminary information from police. One officer was hospitalized in stable condition with a broken leg and other injuries after she was struck by a pickup truck, police said, while the other injured officers were treated and released. Cops cars and dumpsters were set on fire as police struggled to contain the crowds. More than a dozen officers, many with batons in hand, formed a line as they ran down 52nd Street chasing protesters away from the main thoroughfare. The crowd largely dispersed then.

Video of the fatal confrontation recorded by a bystander and posted on social media shows officers pointing their guns at Wallace as he walks in the street and around a car. He walks toward the officers as they back away from him in the street, guns still aimed at him. They yell at him to put his knife down. Both then fire several shots and Wallace collapses in the street. A woman runs up to him screaming. Several bystanders then approach him. It is unclear in the video if he had a knife. Witnesses said he was holding one.

No officers or bystanders were injured, Little said. The names of the officers who fired the shots were not immediately disclosed. Both were wearing body cameras and were taken of street duty pending the investigation. Some people spoke with city Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw, who arrived at the scene a short time after the shooting occurred.

“I heard and felt the anger of the community,” Outlaw said in a statement, adding that the video “raises many questions” and that “those questions will be fully addressed by the investigation.” Wallace’s father, Walter Wallace Sr., told the Philadelphia Inquirer that his son was also a father, was on medication and struggled with mental health issues. “Why didn’t they use a taser?” he asked.

The races of the police officers weren’t immediately confirmed. The shooting occurred in a predominantly Black neighborhood in west Philadelphia. The Inquirer reported that dozens of protesters gathered at a nearby park and chanted “Black lives matter.” READ MORE
