U.S. Government Will be Asking for Your Gold

The US Government is making progress towards totally stripping both the nation and its individuals of whatever wealth is left. The Empire needs the fuel of money to keep going and it is doing whatever it can to stay afloat. The massive injections into the banking system to “save” the nation are well known although the dirty details are just being revealed. The next step, forcing retirees to hand over their 401(k) savings plans and IRAs in return for annuities, are now slowly making headlines.

But the time is approaching when only real money can do the trick. The final step therefore, will be when government calls upon its citizenry to “voluntarily” hand over its gold. But don’t worry. Uncle Sam will give you a much better price than those thieves who buy from you on TV.  Payment will be made in freshly printed fiat notes.

If you don’t believe me then just take a look at the following snippets from a BBC News Story  that made headlines in 1998 when in the first week alone South Koreans handed over 8 tonnes of gold.

South Korea has exported the first shipment of 300 kilograms of gold collected in a public campaign to help the country out of its economic crisis. The nationwide campaign – led by large business groups including Daewoo, Samsung and Hyundai – began on January 5, and involved ordinary Koreans donating personal gold treasures, which have been melted down into ingots ready for sale on the international markets. Kate Liang looks at the phenomenon of public self-sacrifice to save an economy in trouble:

The managing director of the IMF, Michel Camdessus, who has just completed a visit to Seoul, was clearly moved by the campaign, calling it “admirable”.

Organisers estimate that South Koreans privately hold around $20 billion dollars worth of gold – that’s roughly one third of the money South Korea owes the International Monetary Fund in bailout loans. But compared with some estimates of South Korea’s total foreign debt, even such huge figures seem little more than a drop in the ocean.

The reality is that every true American would hand over his or her gold at a fair price if they thought that the lunacy of government spending, borrowing and printing would cease. Maybe a gun crazy America is not so crazy after all. But who would have thought those guns might be aimed at the government. The dilemma of course is how to protect your savings against an eventual destruction of the currency without having to worry about Uncle Sam taking your gold. The reply to that may well be that the government is forced to revalue the price of gold. Once that happens, the same will happen everywhere in the world as debt laden governments finally decide to re-capitalize  and re-energize their systems using gold and silver and the standards that they impose.
