12 Upcycled Wine Racks

According to recent reports American consumers are celebrating more often with a bottle of wine. More wine means more wine racks.. More wine rack production means more waste, higher carbon footprint… yada..yada. How much wine do we drink? A lot.. like $13.3 billion in off- premise sales in 2012. 57% of wine drinkers drink wine consistently, meaning weekly or monthly.

Since we are becoming a nation of wine drinking, we can have our wine and store it too in an eco-friendly way.

Remember all those bed springs and mattresses, that nobody wants? If you are big wine collector, check the the next two ways you can reuse mattresses and make into wine racks.

Tin cans are a dime a dozen.. we like the colorful painted wine rack just from opening hip both sides of the can.

Many people probably got new skis and snowboards for Christmas. The next two wine rack examples can be reused from skis, (all kinds) snowboards, skateboards and even surfboards.

This is handy and great for small spaces. Reuse a large piece of wood, make a table from pipes, yes, those are plumbing pipes and hang your wine underneath. This is a great space saver.
