Their here !! ... A strange encounter at Ormond Beach, where spill hits the beach and the News !

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Ormond Beach Fl.

Sat. today,  Went up to the Ormond site to see if anything new there.

I was on the end of the walk taking a few pictures and I had seen a man notice me from the beach.

I watched him walk toward and come up the step, approached me and said,

“You not going to be able to swim in them jeans and clothes.”

I said I was not going to swim in oily water.

He looked at me and said “the water was not oily”

I said the Coast Guard said there is oil in it, he said “no”.

I said again they say it is all along these beach’s from possibly a sunk boat or freighters.

He again said “no”.

I looked at him and said, You don’t see a sheen on the waters ?

He said “no”.

Then he said “You are the one been taking pictures here this week”,

I said yes and I found tar mats here too.

He said, “The Coast Guard was out here the other day.”

Yes ! I called the Coast Guard about them. I said.

I said did you see the dead birds here too ?

He said, “Yeah I saw them. We’ve got reports on you !’

I said, On me ??

He said yeah !

and walked to the back of his Green Ford Explorer opened the hatch and got on his cell phone.

I waited a few minutes and left by a different route that I came in on.

Strange, I don’t know who he was, or he he is associated was with.

But he did have an air of Authority but dressed like he had intended to spend the day at the beach and with lawn chair and with others.

Waiting for a photo taker ?

Now we all know news reports of oil from these reasons from Coco to Jacksonville Fl.

For the past three days I have been all over the place along Beach’s and rivers here, I have seen many types of birds but have not been able to see any Seagulls. ???

They used to hang around the beach’s and people would feed them bread and they would catch the bread in the air when people would throw it up, sometimes grabbing from the hand while they held it.

I don’t know if the seagulls have flown off to mate? or have died, I would like to know if they have been picking them up before crowds in the morning and if anyone noticed many dieing ? or if anyone has put it together.

I hope I am wrong, but seeing the 2 in Ormond makes me a little frightful for their safety.
If just one had been dead I might not be so concern but both !

Why the reports on me ??

According to Webster, “News” is, a report of recent events. Previously unknown information. And HAVING A SPECIFIED INFLUENCE OR EFFECT! That known, PLEASE stop using your newscast to speculate on things that “MIGHT” be happening. The business owners on the coast should band together and go to court for an injuction against “All” media outlets. Once the county or state health departments announce a health hazzard , then and only then should you be able to report it.

Business had a good year that many came to the east coast thinking there was no oil here….$$$$$$$

I have been riding the Loop a roadway that goes around a large area for bikers to ride to site-see, and Folks, the birds that used to be in the wetland and tributaries are gone, High Bridge there are “no” small birds running along the edges of the shore, it is eerie, sad, and makes one angry that the smaller life’s are disappearing as each day goes by, the next will be the larger life birds. When I bring it up to people and they look around and say, WTF, where are the birds ? Only crow, blackbirds, Jay scrubs and a few large birds not the hundreds of small birds eating from the shorelines anymore.

The foam, something in the water making sea-life die that the birds eat and they die too !

My son fishes at High Bridge, but says he does not see anything different. He is, of course, in denial. Take some water samples!!
      Will be in touch.
