Military Tests Success: 4-Yr Gulf Oil Spill Anniv, Infertility Widespread

Four years after the Gulf oil “spill” when there were four military tests and corporate drills being run in the Gulf simultaneously, the officials in both camps can claim sucess in infertility success among wildlife and humans.

Wildlife in the Gulf region are still challenged, as predicted, four years after the Gulf of Mexico oil catastrophe released over 200M gallons of crude into the water and a still untold amount of Corexit to coverup the oil, a leading environmental organization says migratory and reproductive cycles of area wildlife have been severely altered. At least one species of sea turtles is close to extinction, according to a new report.

Conclusions from a 2013 report strongly suggest Nalco’s dispersant Corexit was widely applied on the Gulf region’s land and sea in the aftermath of the Deepwater Horizon explosion because it caused the false impression that the oil disappeared. In reality, the oil/Corexit mixture became less visible, yet 52 times more toxic in rotifers than the oil alone.

“It’s putting us at odds with China and Russia now,” Rosalind Peterson told Deborah Dupré about the military chemical and biological tests in the Gulf of Mexico in an interview for this author’s book Vampire of Macondo. “We’ve started another Cold War with these warfare tests. Think about this: You have this type of Navy damaging the environment and saying, ‘We own the oceans.’”  

The military’s imperialistic aim, Full Spectrum Dominance is heard a lot on the Hill, according to Peterson, who frequents there, knocking on Congresspersons’ doors and educating as many of them as she can about the out-of-control Navy.

 “I think the Navy was in with the BP spill from the beginning,” Peterson finally told me. “When the government asked the Navy to do the report at the beginning of the Gulf disaster, I knew there was something else going on there.”

Before the BP rig exploded, the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and U.S. Department of Commerce – National Marine Fisheries Service had already approved the “taking” of Gulf marine mammals in Navy tests.
