A Fast and Demanding Way to Increase Muscle Mass

The only way to really build muscle fast is to have an intense workout. Once a muscle is not facing any demands, it will stop growing. Whatever weight you normally use in your workout will be the weight your muscles will grow to easily handle. It is possible to grow the muscle strength by increasing the number of times you lift the same ten pounds. The most intense workout is called isometrics which is when the resistance cannot be moved. The isometric exercises are the fastest way to build muscles.

Normally weight lifters perform exercises that range from 10 – 12 repetitions. This is done to actually fatigue the muscle to the point of tearing the tissue, as a result of increased blood flow. It is from these minor tears that the muscle builds up and develops more strength.

The tissue tears because the stores of glycogen are broken down. Through this process, the minor damage leads to stronger bulkier muscles. Though not a fast way to increase your muscle mass, you can continue doing this and actively add just over a pound of muscle weekly.

Too many bodybuilders build muscle the hard way. The usual plan is numerous repetitions that challenge the muscles at the last little bit. By doing this, you will be gradually building muscle that you will see and feel, but it will take quite a while. Fast building muscle comes from workouts that give the muscles a challenge earlier in the routine. Could there be a quicker way? Wouldn’t it be great to only do that last intense repetition and not waste all the time building up to it? That dream is in fact a reality. Before we go further, let us dive into how muscles are really built.

As we have said before, the amount of weights and the frequency they are used work together to give the muscles the stress they need to grow. Lifting a 10 lb. weight 10 x or a 20 lb. weight 5 x gives your muscles the same challenge. If you look closely, you see that by using more weight with your repetitions does the most. What if we made the simpler? Would it be possible to lift a heavy weight just one time and get the same results? This is very interesting.

On paper, this seems to all makes sense. That is, on paper. There’s only so much a person can do. Look a bodybuilder who can’t pretend repetitions lift over one hundred and 50 pounds. If you give that same bodybuilder 220lbs., more than likely he could only lifted one time. If you use advanced isometric techniques, this same bodybuilder could left a wait a 400lbs. Of all of these methods, which is the most intense and which seems to build the fastest muscles? There is no question that it is the last one.

It is without question that anyone who gets to this level will be using every single muscle in their body to perform just one weight lift. Typically you would have to work up to that lift. If you think this is easy, think again. The maximum the you could possibly lift would be tackled each time you worked out. The rest between workouts would also have to be longer.

Keep in mind that muscle growth does not occur during exercise. Growth and healing happen at the same time during rest. Be prepared to rest well and eat wisely if you intend to begin this kind of challenging bodybuilding challenge.
