What makes fitness models appear so fit? Genes do have a part to play but really, its the hard work, the discipline as well the workouts that they perform that help them get their final look. The reason behind the success of fitness models is their eating habits, their exercise and their determination.

Level of Determination

Determination is the first key to being fit. Its what stops you from failing, no matter what it takes, even if it means having to give away the last piece of delicious pecan pie. It stops you from giving in to temptation. Determination is the will that drives you to do a workout even when you’re too tired, or would rather do something else. Its what stops you from letting go of your goals.

Proper Nutrition

Good workouts are simply not sufficient for acquiring the body that you want. Simply put, without eating properly, you aren’t going to appear your best, even if you exercise now until forever. Correct any bad eating habits.

Workout Regimen

A proper workout is very important if your aim is to look like a model, as you’ll want the right exercises to help you burn fat and get muscle.

* Develop a Plan: Fitness model always have knowledge of what the workout will consist of prior to starting. Never do a workout in ignorance of what you’ll need to finish by the end of the session. Plan workouts early so that you can check your results to see how the progression is coming along.

* Keep Split Routines Balanced: It isn’t weird for a fitness professional to divide a workout into sections. Often, the workout is broken up into upper and lower body workouts. Its fine, as long as all muscle groups are respected and worked equally. Keep all your splits balanced and remember that its perfectly fine to do so.

* Do Cardio Exercises Last: During the warm up, remember that you’re simply warming up, not tiring yourself. Perform simple exercises for no more than ten or fifteen minutes like a light jog. If you do the warm up for too long, it wont be a warm up anymore; you’ll get too tired and wont be able to put in your full potential into performing the weight training. On the other hand, however, when you do the cardio exercises doing the rest of your workout, you’re using fat from your body for energy during the workout.

* Not Every Workout Must Go Full Bore: Fitness models will attempt never to skip a workout, unless its impossible not to. That having been said, they wont have the same amount of enthusiasm and commitment in every workout. Models have low energy days and bad hair days too. If theres a day when your energy level is less than other days, you’ll want to try to do the workout regardless. Just don’t do it at full strength; a bit less than the normal is good, as your body can get the rest that it needs. Just remember to give your best at the next workout session.

* Workout Just Enough: Most starters, and even various other people, tend to exercise long periods every session. After a specific point, you’ll have less motivation because of the lengthy routines. Your session at the gym should not be taking longer than an hour at a time. Get in, work out, and leave. Trying to lengthen workouts until exhaustion becomes self defeating.

After some time, change up your regimen so that you’re still interested in fitness and don’t lose motivation. Remember to mark your progression. Keep your aspirations high and goals reasonable and keep it fun; that way, you’ll enjoy becoming healthy!
