Fight for Kratom- DEA Out to Make Big Pharma Rich (Videos)

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

(N.Morgan) The DEA has recently set forth a tyrannical plan to classify Kratom as a Schedule I substance by September 30th 2016.

The banning of this miracle herb is a devastating blow to the thousands of people who have found relief from this natural remedy.

Do not allow the DEA to make innocent people criminals again, by banning a herb that offers a plethora of health benefits, without the negative toxic effects pharmaceuticals inflict upon the body.

This ban is hurting the most vulnerable among us, the ones whose daily lives are already a struggle due to a disease.

It is those whose lives have been irreversible changed by illness and disease who will suffer the most due to this outrageous ban.

What is Kratom exactly?

Leaves from the Kratom tree have had a wide range of uses by the people of Southeast Asia who have known and utilized the benefits of this miracle plant for thousands of years.

Its popularity has grown in the western nations of the world as more and more people are becoming aware of the versatility and medicinal benefits of this plant.

In smaller amounts kratom has been known to produce stimulation, motivation, a heightened desire to work, extended energy, relief from fatigue, increased focus and mental awareness, increased social and communication skills, relief from anxiety and depression, and an overall feeling of euphoria.

Larger amounts have been known to produce many or all of these effects as well as incorporate a pain relieving and analgesic aspect not usually noticed in the use of smaller proportions.

What are the active ingredients found in Kratom?

Alkaloid content plays a role in determining which characteristics manifest in different types of kratom.

There are 25 known alkaloids in kratom.

Kratom plants containing higher levels of mitragynine are known to have more stimulating effects.

Those containing higher levels of the alkaloid 7-hydroxymitragynine are used more for sedation and pain killing, with stronger analgesic activity than morphine.

Kratom behaves as a µ-opioid receptor agonist and is used in the management of chronic pain, as well as recreationally and for other ailments.

However, its effects differ significantly from traditional opiates such as morphine.

Kratom use is not detected by typical drug screening tests, but its metabolites can be detected by more specialized testing.

Kratom has been found beneficial for those who suffer from:

Light injuries – scratches, cuts, etc.

Pulled/torn muscles

Joint inflammation

Carpel Tunnel Syndrome

Sore tendons

Back pain

Arthritis

Fibromyalgia

Scoliosis

IBDs/IBS for control of diarrhea

cold symptoms and allergies

cough suppressant

fever reducer

normalize blood pressure

blood sugar levels in Diabetes

fights intestinal parasites

increases melanin production

heroin addiction

The other noteworthy benefit of kratom is its use to fight immune system disorders and boost the immune system.

This may be due to the fact that kratom is rich in antiviral compounds and contains 20 times the amount of antioxidants as green tea.

It has been a long known fact that the DEA and FDA has waged a never ending war against any natural remedies that will take money from their agencies.

The Drug War has been a futile effort to keep people from treating their own ailments and diseases naturally, and escape the toxic effects many of the Big Pharma medications and treatments cause.

The DEA cites that Kratom presents an “imminent hazard”, however, this hazard is non-existent.

This is yet another attempt to not only control the masses, but to make us all junkies to their pharmaceutical drugs.

Just as with Marijuana, Kratom is now facing a mis-classification and banning for merely offering relief to those who were unable to find any relief before this miracle herb came along.

When are the people going to say “Enough” and disband the DEA and FDA?

These rogue agencies have been in complete control of how we treat our ailments, and in making decisions that do not have the people’s well-being in mind.

Banning Kratom is just another path that the DEA is carving out that will inevitably make things worse for all Americans.

It is time to let the DEA know we are no longer going to tolerate their constant interference in our health and daily lives.

Please sign the petition and let them know their latest ruling will not stand.

These people need us to fight for them and fight this latest idiotic farce imposed by the DEA.

Here’s how you can help:

The Time To Take Action Is Now! Before It’s Too Late!

Letter Template*

*It’s important not to copy and paste, please use your own words

We need YOUR help to fight the DEA’s Intent to Schedule Mitragynine and 7-Hydroxymitragynine, which would make Kratom (i.e., Mitragyna Speciosa) a controlled substance.

Below is a letter template you can use to write to your Senator, your Congressperson, the Department of Justice, the Attorney General, the Office of Diversion, Drug Enforcement Administration or the (ASH) Acting Secretary for Health.

Dear Congressman ______ and Senator ________, etc. OR If writing to a committee member, for example, the House Judiciary Committee, use Honorary Committee Member (committees listed at the bottom)

Find your Senator: http://www.senate.gov/senators/contact/

Find your Representative:  http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/

My name is ________, I’m a __-year old _________ from _________ and I’m your constituent (when writing your Congressman and Senator).

I’d like to voice my opposition to the DEA’s Intent to Schedule the alkaloids Mitragynine and 7-Hydroxymitragynine, which would make Kratom (Mitragynaspeciosa), a schedule 1 controlled substance with no medicinal value. This would put kratom, a plant helping millions of people suffering chronic and acute mental and physical conditions that is also safely easing the nation’s opiate epidemic problem naturally, on the same level as illegal drugs like heroin. It would also prevent further research which, to date, has shown kratom to be an effective painkiller that does not cause respiratory depression; the main cause of death from opiate overdose.

-How you came to use kratom….. (did you learn about it in a chronic pain support group, etc?)

-What ailments you suffer, what treatments haven’t worked (prescriptions, surgery, etc.), how long you’ve been dealing with your condition, how long you’ve been using kratom and how many/what medications you’ve been able to quit.

-What kratom means to you (has it given you your life back, have you gone back to work, can you play with your, exercise or travel, etc., something anecdotal about why kratom is important and should be available).

-Conclusion: Kratom is a safe alternative to pharmaceutical drugs with important medicinal uses and has changed my life. I’m asking you to please contact the DEA. Please send a letter or request an oversight hearing asking to delay this emergency action. I fear this action by the DEA will only lead to more tragic deaths of victims of the opiate epidemic, maybe even my own (if you think this may lead to a replace and illicit drug use). I know that my own quality of life as a productive member of society will not be the same without kratom.

If you have questions about kratom, please visit www.americankratom.org.

Thank you for your time and service to the state.

Sincerely,

— Include your name, address and phone number.

Please be professional and polite, keeping it as short as possible.

I still have not seen the Constitutional Amendment giving a foreign Corporation DEA the Authority to Supersede The Constitution or the Rights of the American People, to Make Law, We had to have a Constitutional Amendment to Ban Alcohol an then Re Amend the Constitution again to Make it Legal again, Alcohol is a Man Made Product, Plants for Our use were and are our God Given right to Use, it’s time to Get Rid of these Anti God, Anti Freedom NAZIS.

    • Me

      Isn’t big pharma already rich?

    • Air Quotes Shill Air Quotes

Kratom can be highly addictive, and damaging.

I’ve taken it a few times, and it can give a decent opioid style effect, but it’s not good for you.

I know a guy that started taking it instead of the opiates he had been hooked on that his doctor prescribed him.

By the end of it he was taking whole bottles of Kratom a day, and was tweeked out of his mind, looked like he was dying, and was arrested for acting insane in the street.

The only thing he was on was Kratom.

It might be slightly less bad for you than big pharma drugs, but it’s still bad news.

      • Mr Wave

Making up fake stories like that isn’t going to fool anyone. Sorry.

You think you’re being funny, Super Truther, but making light of a situation or lying about it entirely is disgusting. If this random “guy” you knew was acting insane in the streets it was because of something else, not kratom.

Take your BS out of here.

        • Air Quotes Shill Air Quotes

          You’re an idiot.

He was taking 60+ pills at a time, numerous times a day.

It makes you feel high at 15 pills.

Eat a few bottles yourself, every day, for months.

It wasn’t a random guy, it was a friend, but whatever, be an idiot.

      • Anonymous

        Go away shill.

        • Air Quotes Shill Air Quotes

He had dark blotchy skin, huge bags under his eyes, and couldnt stop taking it.

He actually went to a mental hospital for a while.

          Go ahead and use it.

Just saying, it can be just as bad as the opioids.

          • godspell

full of crap. kratom has a defense for people using too much the more you use the worse you feel you have to have a balance.

            • Air Quotes Shill Air Quotes

You can get addicted dude, thats why it’s illegal in some countries.

Say I’m full of crap all you want, I watched it happen to a guy.

He was the reason I found out about it, tried it a few times, didnt like the high.

He liked the high, ate bottles at a time.

Go ahead and keep doing it, it CAN be dangerous.1

      • Jacko

Let em talk @Super Truther. They clearly don’t have capacity to google something and read about it. Instead it’s better to blindly believe what’s posted on BIN. They can’t help it. They just been reading BIN too much while they can’t put in perspective whats been said here.

        • Air Quotes Shill Air Quotes

Yeah I know, like I really have a reason to lie about drugs randomly online.

I wish Kratom was a safe high.

My ACTUAL EXPERIENCE is that it is not.

These guys have probably never even done the real thing.

          • Jacko

I was going to try Kratom but didn’t do it after reading about it. It’s too dangerous.

            • Air Quotes Shill Air Quotes

I think its safe to try, I bought one of the recommended brands, that sells actual kratom in capsule pill form.

Dosages on the bottle range from 6 to 15 pills depending on the type of feeling you want.

I wanted high, so I went for 15, it gives you a feeling kinda like being on percocet, but a little more anxious and uncomfortable.

              It can help for pain.

It can also make people that love getting high on pills, start taking 120 a day, with no doctor or drug dealer to slow them down.

            • Jacko

“Getting high” on prescription drugs is even worse. It’s meant for medical purposes. The highs I find safe are things like Cannabis and Mushrooms. If you’re using hard drugs like opiates for “fun” you’re gone already. Use your brain instead of destroying it. You might as well stick a heroin needle up your arm. Opiates are dangerous and therefor things that mimic it are too. Calling it safe is just retarded.

      • Syco247

I feel ya, tried it ONCE, never again! Had a friend that did very much what you describe in your experience. He was all about the kratom and fake weed cocktail, it was terrible, like a legal crack head. At least the jerked the fake ass not weed off the market, now with this out of the way too a few people will be spared the insanity of this herb being misused. (to clarify this does not mean it doesn’t have a purpose, but most people are not interested in “medicine” this crap is in head shops, the people in there only want to get high, ya’ll do the math)

        • Morgana Le Fay

I’m usually on the same page with you on many issues, but not this one. Even if people are taking it to get high, it should be their choice. I’m so sick of all these nanny-state laws that are supposedly passed for our protection, when all they really do is enrich corporate interests through incarceration and by giving them drug monopolies.

          • Syco247

I think you might have mistaken my point, the fake stuff needs to go, but leave the pot heads alone, worst they will do is head to the store for soda and twinkie. But yeah, grown folk should have the ability to choose what they put into their own body, until it effects others, then at that point they have demonstrated a failure in rational judgement and need to be removed from general population for detox and some time to reflect on just stupid they were.

        • Anonymous

Its ok to get high as long as the gov. says so . Sounds like we are slaves.

      • Morgana Le Fay

SO WHAT?!! Even if it is bad for you, it isn’t the proper role of government to tell us what we can and cannot put into our bodies. It’s a freaking plant for Christ’s sake, and there are plenty of plants out there that have hallucinogenic/psychotropic effects. Should we ban all of those too? Caffeine is addictive; should we ban coffee? And don’t even get me started on alcohol. There’s also belladonna, jimsonweed, and plenty of lesser known herbs that are commonly grown as ornamental flowers that will knock you on your a$$ (if they don’t kill you first). Should we get rid of those too? Better ban butter knifes while you’re at it….they can be misused too.

    • Pink Slime

      Hello Angle#3(Of-Ful Prelim),

Charile here. You must first PROVE the DEA is a legal constitutional entity. If it is not (and it is) then they have no legal authority over Americans.

But you won’t believe it because you are petitioning to them and these phony bureaucrats are smiling – for nothing. You just made them legitimate in your mind.

And the con game goes on… and on and on……..

      Signed,

Charlie (doughnuts – it’s the REAL thing!)

    • Jacko

“DEA Out to Make Big Pharma Rich”

Reality check: they already made them rich. Now they’re in the process of making them even richer.

    • Jacko

I also wonder why you name none of the negative effects? And the fact we don’t know exactly how this plant works. You must be a bit silly to recommend this to people. You can get sued for info like this. Better be careful what you teach people.

“Adverse effects are similar to opioids and include hallucinations, psychosis, seizures, agitation, tachycardia, nausea, constipation, bowel obstruction, drowsiness, respiratory depression (normal breathing is reduced, which can lead to carbon dioxide poisoning and death), reduced appetite, itching, sweating, dry mouth, and increased urination.[4][9][6][18] Chronic users have also reported withdrawal symptoms including irritability, runny nose and diarrhea.[8] One other study on chronic Malaysian users of kratom (more than 6 months, estimated 276 mg of mitragynine daily) showed severe symptoms of muscle spasms and pain, sleeping difficulty, fever, decreased appetite and psychological withdrawal.[17] Overdose of kratom is managed similar to the overdose of opioids, and naloxone can be considered to treat an overdose that results in a reduced effort to breathe despite mixed results for its utility in animal models.[4]”
