This Dose Of Reality Comes With A Kick In The Shins

You can try and talk yourself into this health care bs all you want.
And I know by convincing yourself that this is a “first step” it creates the easy way out from having to actually put some bonafied thought forward.
Not surprising, and pretty typical.

But lets be clear… This is a bad bill.
Ever actually read any of it?
You seriously think we are going to evolve to a public option from this? Really?
Why wasn’t it just included?
Why did the President just dismiss it out of hand immediately, after campaigning for it in public for 2 years before being elected?
This bill changes nothing. Changes no system. Changes no policy.
The only change in this bill is that it now forces everyone to sign up, by law to the same system that was already in place.
This is essentially a bailout for the same pharmaceutical companies that everyone speaks so negatively of.
Not to mention the expansion of a control-grid that you may, or may not believe in.
Sigh.

And leave it to President Obama to offer “change” by rewarding the same insurance companies that he is out talking down upon while trying to sell this pipe dream of a lie.
(Sound familiar? Banker bailout?)
And leave it to the American people to believe every word of it.
And leave it to the other party-sided minority of people to just oppose it because a Republican isn’t the one that’s pushing it.
(Like the Democrats who opposed war when Bush was in, but are now all of a sudden for it with Obama at the helm)
And leave it to the mainstream media to then box-in all the rest of us, like myself, as a card-carrying Republican racist, when in reality I am a Liberal-leaning Independent who doesn’t even believe in the 2-party system.

And again, lets be clear….
The fact is, once a BAD BILL is passed and is MADE LAW, it DOES NOT get fixed.
Ever heard of the Patriot Act????
The same Patriot Act that “Obama v1.0-campaign model” said he would dismantle and get rid of for being unconstitutional?
Well, guess what?
“Obama v2.0-President model” hasn’t dismantled a damn thing about it, he’s actually extended it, numerous times, as well as expanding it’s powers.

Oh we, the land of the apathetic and pathetic.

And to Dennis Kucinich,
This is called “holding a politician’s feet to the fire…”
I do respect you very highly, and almost always support your ideas.
But point blank, you let us all down today.
And I will admit my surprise in saying so….
You will live to regret this vote, and my fear is, you will now possibly be voted out of office because of it, which would be a devastating blow to anyone who actually believes in the idea of “peace.”
This is a political tragedy if there ever was one.
