Suffice to say the immigration equation continues to be ignored, avoided and evaded at all costs in the run for the presidency. President Barack Obama expects to present 20 million illegal aliens with a gift of amnesty for their crimes. 

GOB candidates give short shrift by avoiding any answers.  The media avoids asking any questions. Yet, 8 to 10 million illegal aliens enjoy full time jobs with only two percent of them in agriculture. In other words, a whole lot of illegality and tax fraud continues without a blip on the political scene.

While those 10 million jobs could be offered to American citizens for a living wage, powerful
Congressional advocates contain the debate and avoid solutions.  Meanwhile, employers cheat the U.S. government out of billions of dollars. Taxpayers subsidize illegals across 15 federal agencies for $346 billion annually.  (Source: Edwin Rubenstein report www.TheSocialContract.com ) 

Illegal aliens as well as legal immigrants send $60 billion in cash transfers to their home countries annually.  The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, fast food giants like McDonalds, Marriott Hotels and the restaurant industry prey on illegals for their 21^st century slave labor.  They covet profits over integrity and lawful taxation.

Political writer Peyton M. Craighill said, “Immigration is not high on the list for Republicans when considering their choice for their choice for party’s nominee. It is not even close: Just 1 percent call it their top voting issue. But the lopsided nature of opinion on the issue suggests candidates not be on the wrong side of public opinion. Texas Gov. Rick Perry and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney may have put themselves at odds with voters on immigration early in the campaign. Each candidate has stated policies on immigration that haven’t jibed with the public and with their Republican base. Perry’s clear support for allowing in-state tuition for children of illegal immigrants who graduate from state high schools is broadly unpopular.”

A new Washington Post-Bloomberg News poll shows wide, bipartisan opposition to Romney’s call to increase the number of visas for highly skilled foreign workers.

The survey shows that 59 percent to 31 percent more people oppose rather than support a proposal to increase the number of visas for legal immigrants.

Romney said, “We need to raise the ceiling on the number of visas issued to holders of advanced degrees in math, science, and engineering who have job offers in those fields from U.S. companies.”

Few if any Americans support such plans with 15 million out of work.

Rick Perry lost his lead by advocating for in-state tuition which has been rejected by the American people for the past 10 years.   Perry advocates for open borders and a whopping 81 percent of the jobs filled in Texas during Perry’s tenure have been filled by illegal and legal immigrants.  Texas suffers a poverty rate second highest in the nation only behind Mississippi.

At some point, both parties must establish a solution that enforces America’s immigration work laws to take jobs away from those 10 million illegal aliens.  Without a job, they would return to their home countries on their own dime.   Arizona has done it as well as Alabama and Georgia. 

Enforcing the law makes illegal migrants abide by U.S. laws without causing emotional responses.  Roy Beck of www.NumbersUSA.org ,with support of his 1.1 million members, has defeated 59 amnesty bills including the Dream Act several times. It’s about time the GOP and Democrats abide by the American peoples’ wishes and enforce our laws and secure the borders. It’s time employers hire 10 million American citizens at a living wage.
