Australia stands at the most important juncture of its existence as a sovereign and viable civilization.  Australia could lead the world toward a stable demographic future and viable existence for all its citizens, or it could continue on the prickly path currently followed by Canada, America and Europe. What is that path?  Answer: human overpopulation!  What’s driving it?  Relentless immigration from a line of people that grows more desperate by 80 million around the world net gain annually. 

Since citizens of the developing world refuse to stabilize their own numbers with birth control and family planning, they stream into Western countries at  unprecedented rates of millions annually.

If Australia continues on its current overpopulation path, it will end up like the seething masses of poor and disparate countries with suffering citizens in many other parts of the world.

A short 40 years ago, our Congress of United States of America attempted to alleviate the plight of the world’s poor by immigrating 100 million of them into our country.  What happened?  Today, we suffer gridlocked cities, massive poverty, blackened air over our cities, degraded educational systems, horrible debt, multiple languages, distinctly separated cultures in Spanish and Islam vs. Americans, and dwindling resources with a loss of quality of life.

A whopping 46 million Americans subsist on food stamps because they cannot secure a job.(Source: Kate Snow, interview with NBC’s Brian Williams, December 8, 2011)  Another 15 million Americans remain unemployed and cannot obtain a job.  In cities like Detroit, Michigan, we now hear phones at businesses with “Press “1” for Arabic; “2” for Spanish and “3” for English.  A mind numbing 68 percent of our African-American children are born to single mothers and 90 percent of them live on welfare.  Our infrastructure crumbles as our bridges collapse and our water mains break regularly beneath our major cities.  Schools in Detroit, Michigan all the way to Los Angeles suffer 60 to as high as 76 percent dropout rates from high schools.  We suffer 42 million Americans that cannot read, write or perform simple math problems. As CNN reported, 7,000 high school kids quit every day, 1 every 26 seconds throughout the nine month school year.  Our citizen taxpayers shell out $346 billion annually across 15 federal agencies to pay for immigrants’ needs. We are a nation in denial.  We suffer 15 million unemployed, but import 125,000 green card (able to legally work in the USA) carrying legal immigrants every 30 days.  That means we will never be able to employ our own citizens at a living wage.  The wages will continue to drop.  That is what immigration causes, but our government and the elites force us to swallow politically correct claptrap as if it will solve the problem.

If Australia allows itself to become a “Big Australia”, cities like Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Cairns will become stricken with irreversible consequences and unsolvable problems. Your quality of life will degrade into the same realities now realized by much of the world.  You cannot fool Mother Nature.  Think water, energy and resources; all dwindling at breakneck speed.

How can Australians save themselves?  Of the 61 comments I read in the comment section, the follow shows the most intelligence:

Australia is currently adding over one million people to its population every three years. Around two thirds of this is record high immigration. The rest is a temporary excess of births over deaths. But births and deaths will soon match as our near-replacement fertility rate kicks in over the next decade or two. It really is that simple.”

In a democracy, you possess the power of your votes to change the course of history.  You can vote those who favour unlimited growth out of office. You can vote those advocate for a sustainable and sane future for Australia by stabilizing population—into office.  It’s up to you to work toward a consciousness shift to a critical mass shift which leads to a tipping point toward a viable future for all Australians.

Since those choices are not being made by America, Canada or Europe—you could lead the rest of the world toward a happy, viable and sustainable human race and country in the 21^st century.

THE State Government has challenged resident action groups to come up with answers on where to house Melbourne’s rapidly growing population.

Planning Minister Matthew Guy said that some groups opposed higher-density development in the inner city while others wanted to stop housing expansion on the urban fringe.

“We have to have a sensible, rational debate about how we grow the city and I think it’s a challenge for all Melburnians to have that debate about how the city grows but how we maintain urban character in defined areas,” he said.

Mr Guy said slashing immigration, as advocated by some groups, wouldn’t solve the problem because Victoria’s population would still grow by more than 500 people a week due to more births than deaths.

“Now, you guys tell me, even if we halved migration tomorrow, which is not something I support, but even if we did, where are you going to put the extra 30,000 (people a year)?”

But Mary Drost, convenor of protest group Planning Backlash, said that Monash University research predicted that natural population increase would decline over the next decade as the children of Baby Boomers had fewer kids.

Mrs Drost said that governments were struggling to accommodate people due to high migration.

A group of Fairfield residents is angry over plans for a three-storey development with 22 flats on a 900sq m block that currently has a single weatherboard house on it.

The Arthur St proposal has attracted 27 objections, and most are concerned about overdevelopment, neighbourhood character and traffic issues.

Resident Claire Keith said the area was quiet and she was concerned at the effect it would have on her children playing on the street.

“It’s very high-density and it’s going to be an eyesore,” she said.

“We are concerned about the haste involved in pushing this through.”

Darebin Council planning officers recommended that the development go ahead with some conditions, but a planning committee meeting this week deferred a decision until next month after pressure from residents.
