No consequences for violating U.S. immigration laws

As long as you are an illegal alien brought to the United States by your border jumping parents, you cannot be deported because Barack Obama will not enforce our immigration laws.

High Profile Illegal Alien Avoids Deportation

Dan Stein, president of the Federation for American Immigration Reform, www.FAIRUS.org, spoke about the latest Obama executive order that defies American immigration laws. 

How has this executive fiat affected enforcement Mr. Stein?

“On Friday, an illegal alien was stopped for wearing headphones while driving in Minneapolis. Police found he was driving on a revoked license and arrested him,” said Stein. “Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) then checked his status through the Secure Communities Program and determined he was in the country illegally.

“The man arrested, Jose Antonio Vargas, was no ordinary illegal alien however. He is an award winning journalist and a politically active crusader for mass amnesty. He chronicled his “coming out” in a major New York Times Magazine feature article last year that was heralded as a bold statement of defiance by the open-borders groups encouraging others to do the same.

“ICE has decided that Vargas is not a priority for removal. Instead of being deported, Vargas has become the latest beneficiary of the Obama administration’s prosecutorial discretion policy that allows illegal aliens who haven’t committed violent felonies to remain in the U.S.

“According to an ICE spokeswoman, Vargas doesn’t meet the agency’s priorities to remove “public safety threats, recent border crossers and egregious immigration law violators…” These priorities are reflected in memos issued by ICE Director John Morton last year.”

Vargas gets to stay because openly flouting immigration law and admitting to violating a series of other U.S. laws, is no longer enough to be prosecuted or deported. Vargas admits he:

• Possibly entered the country illegally – brought by a “coyote” on what may have been a fake passport, by his own description;
• Obtained and used a fake green card and Filipino passport;
• Used fake documents to fraudulently obtain a Social Security Number;
• Doctored copies of a Social Security card to eliminate the phrase “Valid for work only with INS authorization;”
• Falsely claimed U.S. citizenship on IRS Form I-9;
• Fraudulently obtained driver’s license twice – once in Oregon (expired), again in Washington (revoked after New York Times Magazine story);
• Used fake and/or fraudulently obtained documents to enter the White House;
• Continues to fly with fake or fraudulently obtained identification – a serious breach of key recommendations of the 9/11 Commission.

Stein added, “In addition to being an alarming indictment on document security, the cumulative effect of Vargas’ admissions and subsequent amnesty from prosecution for fraud or deportation is a clear message that will reverberate across the country and beyond: There are no consequences for violating U.S. immigration law.”

Helping Illegal Aliens a Holder Family Value

“The Carolina Journal Online reports that William Holder, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder’s brother, may have hired illegal aliens at some, or all, of his McDonald’s franchise restaurants in Wake County, North Carolina,” said Stein. “The news organization uncovered evidence revealing that “some employees stated they did not have a Social Security Card, a green card or any other document that would give them the legal authority to work in the United States.” Holder has denied knowingly hiring them. The matter is under further investigation by the paper. It is unclear – and highly doubtful – the matter is, or ever will be, addressed by law enforcement authorities.

“The Attorney General cannot be held responsible for his brother’s behavior, of course, but one has to wonder whether his crusade to assist illegal aliens was a corrupting influence. After all, Eric Holder has created within his Department of Justice (DOJ) an organizational culture of permissiveness for illegal immigration and encouragement for those who violate the law.

“Mollycoddling illegal aliens seems to be a Holder family value. Eric promotes it and his brother allegedly hires them.

“If it’s proven that Holder was cheating the system by hiring illegal aliens, Wake County residents should wonder if eating at his McDonald’s restaurants is safe. If illegal aliens are preparing the food without being subject to the infectious and contagious disease screenings required of legal immigrants, then maybe Holder isn’t serving up the healthy “Happy Meals” advertised.

“But we’re really not surprised – the chicken-McNuggets have simply come home to roost. For 3 ½ years, the President has been using amnesty as political instrument, DHS Secretary Napolitano has gutted most interior enforcement, and Holder serves as the hired DOJ hit man intimidating and punishing states that push their own legislation.

“The Obama/Napolitano/Holder unholy trinity of non-enforcement has created a new reality – that violating immigration laws in and of itself is entirely inconsequential. The message to illegal aliens is no problema and the message to businesses – including William Holder’s franchises is – why fuss with following the law?”
