What the S744 amnesty bill means to every American

While Schumer and the “Gang of Eight” wrestle with the S744 immigration amnesty of 12 to 20 million illegal migrants and their children, none of senators understand the mind-numbing numbers about to be injected into America within three decades: a total of well over 100 million immigrants by 2050—a scant 37 years from now.  (Sources: PEW Research Center, NumbersUSA.org,  U.S. Population Projections by Fogel/Martin)  None of them address the debilitating aspects of adding a minimum of 33 million people within the next decade.  The “Gang” increased legal immigration from 1 million annually to 1.5 million annually.  No reason given. Blind ignorance of magnifying and accelerating our “Carbon footprint”, now over 400 PPM; “Water footprint”, now with seven states in growing water shortages; species extinction in the lower 48 states at 250 species annually suffering extinction; overwhelmed cities; accelerating toxic air pollution; diminishing arable land; “Ecological footprint: at 25.4 acres destroyed to support every added American, acidification of our oceans and depletion of our fisheries and worse—Peak Oil.  We will see an addition of 138 million people by 2050 as oil vanishes and alternative energy remains a pipe dream.  But we will need to feed and water all those people.  If S744 passes, it will import more poverty, more hungry people, more critical damage to the planet’s environmental systems and finally, cripple our civilization into enormous consequences as to social, cultural, environmental and our impending inability to feed, house, clothe, work and sustain such a massive population at our current rate of consumption.  To increase our legal immigration another 500,000 annually to 1.5 million in a world that adds 80 million net gain annually—illustrates the height of intellectually vacant madness.

(As a post LTE submission, you editors at Time are invited to write a series on the horrific consequences of adding the next 138 million people by 2050 via the S744 amnesty.  You’re invited to write about what we face, because as a six continent world bicycle traveler, I can tell you that once those numbers manifest, we will become victims with no means or ability to solve our problems.  Those consequences will become irreversible and unsolvable. Start with the finest minds on environment and population dynamics below.  Give the American people a dose of reality as to what this amnesty means to their children. Educate our citizens in order for them to take action to save their own children all life on this planet. You must educate Charles Schumer and 99 other senators as well as the entire House of Representatives to the consequences of this amnesty.  Otherwise, you and your children will become victims of the most ignored, evaded, suppressed and avoided issue of the 21 century: human overpopulation in America and around the world.)
