47 kilos of drugs are seized at the Tijuana airport; there are 2 detainees

Passengers were traveling with a suitcase and hand luggage with 86 packages made with adhesive tape of the apparent drug crystal methamphetamine.

While conducting security tours at the Tijuana International Airport, Baja California, elements of the National Guard detained two passengers who were carrying in their suitcases around 47 kilos, 280 grams of apparent crystal.

In the ambulatory area of the air terminal, the national guards had contact with a man and a woman from Culiacán, Sinaloa, who showed identifications as citizens of the United States, presumably apocryphal because they had irregularities in the printing and did not pass the security padlocks.

Given the probable commission of a crime, the Card of Rights Assisting Persons in Detention was read to people and together with the packages they were made available to the Agent of the Federal Public Ministry, to follow up on the inquiries. The National Detention Registry will also be filled with the data.
