1…2…3…4G!!!!

3G and 4G are the buzzwords in the telecom industry. Every cellular service provider wants to market their “G” handsets.  But what are the differences in each of these? G stands for Generation and thus 3G and 4G are third and fourth generation languages respectively. They are a certain ways in which mobile devices are built to provide fastest possible services. 3G is digital communication with a better speed than 2G and has set industry standards whereas 4G is a step ahead of 3G and facilitating services multiple times better than in 3G. In other words 4G is equal to fastest browsing, lightening speed data transfers, enhanced networks, and many more such rewards in the world of Mobile technology.

4G and Technolo”G”

The 4G technology is simply an extension to the 3G technology with higher bandwidth and better services as offered by 3G.  4G isn’t much defined but its goal is to enhance what 3G provides. This means that 4G strives to provide excellent quality of audio/video streaming over the IP network. The high data rates that 4G offers are advantageous for those with business involving Mobile phones. A revolutionary Video blogs would be available if 4G networks are clubbed with mobile phones that are equipped with high end cameras and High Definition capacities. Would it be more than fun to real time Video blog?

Who Offers 4G Technology?

In the United States there are majorly 2 leading 4G technology providers – WiMax and Long term Evolution (LTE). LTE is said to roll out 4G in 2012 whereas WiMax has already achieved it. LTE to compensate for the time loss has suggested providing faster speeds with cheap handsets.

Clearly 4G will be widely used for internet access on mobile phones. Areas with strong 4G coverage will not require cabled broadband connections anymore.
