Chairman Of Joint Chiefs: U.S. Has Iran Strike Plans.
According to the AP and this morning’s NBC’s Meet the Press, Admiral Mullen, now Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, has confirmed that the U.S. does indeed have plans for a strike of Iran.
Although he continues to affirm that such a strike would be very destabilizing to the middle east region, he does in the end re affirm the view point that Iran can not be allowed to have a nuclear weapon.
Mullen would not confirm which option would be the worst, striking Iran or allowing Iran to possess a nuclear weapon, but would only say that the military strike option is necessary and that the military has a plan at hand for Iran.
It would appear that the plans for the Iran contingency are very far advanced if one notes all of the news reports from that region over the past year.
The build up of warships, submarines, and troops on all sides of Iran point this out.
Just two weeks ago, former Cuban president Fidel Castro too was sounding the alarm that according to his sources, the U.S. would launch this attack probably before August 8th, and would quickly escalate into a nuclear conflict.
