Israel must be permitted to continue its ethnic cleansing, according to the Washington Post on Friday, and Obama stands firm with this assertion, he told hundreds of big-time Hollywood celebrities in Los Angeles yesterday. The only way to peace is war, according to frequent Orwellian sentiments being expressed in support of End Times, excluding a strong one issued by a Malaysia insider today.

Massacre has become a habit, an addiction the Washington Post and President Barack Obama — along with Netanyahu, of course, froth at the mouth to feed. Thousands of Americans, Muslims and Jews, however, are taking to the streets to end this addiction, a worry for super powers needing their fix, according to and insider from Malaysia.

‘Spoke from his heart‘

When Obama met with top-notch celebrities Thursday for his fundraiser, an event (appropriately) featuring the Scandal actors of Hollywood, hundreds of lesser known Californians packed the scene outside, not too happy about his using U.S. funds to massacre children and other civilians in Gaza.

Nevertheless, Obama “sought to reassure” the Hollywood celebrity crowd that “he stands firmly behind Israel,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.  

“He really spoke from his heart,” a guest said.

“He’s here to fund raise with Hollywood celebrities. We think that’s disrespectful,” Ron Gochez Ron Gochez with Union del Barrio told Press TV’s correspondent. “US foreign policy has really created the misery and poverty in Central America that has led to the migration and led to the current problems.”

Obama’s gala event drew 450 at $1,000 to $32,000 per ticket for the Democratic Party. Higher priced entries had access to the president’s photo line and an “intimate” dinner for just 30 couples. Attendees included Actress Kerry Washington, ICM’s Chris Silbermann, Janelle Monae, Scandal actors Tony Goldwyn and Scott Foley,  HBO’s Michael Lombardo, and ABC executives Paul Lee, Berry Gordy and Silbermann’s wife Julia Franz, a co-host for the evening.

Protesters called on the president to withdraw all US support from Israel and put a stop to the Zionist regime’s genocidal attacks on the innocent people of Gaza, according to Press TV.

“These are war crimes. These are actually crimes against humanity. We are here to demand for President Obama to stand for the immigrant children and the children of Gaza,” said Ahlam Muhtaseb, professor at California State University, San Bernardino.

Police cordoned off the hundreds of protesters so Obama couldn’t even hear them. Protesters told Press TV that even if Obama could hear them, they doubted he’d listen. Nevertheless, he and the well-heeled pro-Israeli celebs knew the protesters were there. 

The Washington Post apparently disagrees with California’s pesky human rights defenders protesting US aid to massacre mainly children in Gaza. The Post doesn’t need to rally, however. It even sends its pro-Israel propaganda in emails, like the one today, Israel Must Be Permitted to Crush Hamas.

“U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, Secretary of State John Kerry and the foreign ministers of Great Britain and France all are rushing to achieve a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas,” reads the Post article by Michael Oren, Israel’s ambassador to the U.S. 2009 to 2013, now fellow at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya and the Atlantic Council. “The images of the wounded and dead resulting from the conflict are indeed agonizing. However, these senior statesmen can be most helpful now by doing nothing.”

Got that? Do nothing when a massacre is being conducted, my friends. To preserve good ol’ American values of killing civilians, mainly children – children of color — do nothing. Ring a bell, maybe two? American Indians and African Americans come to mind?

“To preserve the values they cherish and to send an unequivocal message to terrorist organizations and their state sponsors everywhere, Israel must be permitted to crush Hamas in the Gaza Strip,” Oren says.

There, more Israeli propaganda shoved down the throats of unwitting Americans.  That, however, was not even the most blatant.

“To ensure that it concludes with a categorical Israeli win is in the world’s fundamental interest,” Oren states, then applying double-talk that Bush Jr. excelled in using. “To guarantee peace, this war must be given a chance.”

War? This is has been an illegal invasion and occupation, not a war. Nevertheless, over 2000 American troops have developed the addiciton to massacring Palestinians, fighting with the IDF, as Russia Today’s Abby Martin  exposed this week, along with the propaganda every main news outlet is presenting.

Every two or three years, Israel launches a massive military assault mainly on unarmed Palestinians in Gaza, such as Dec. 2008 to Jan. 2009 and in Nov. 2012. Each time, it kills hundreds of Palestinians  and maims thousands more – what Oren calls peace, good for all of humanity.

Friday, Malaysian human rights defender Dr. Chandra Muzaffar emailed about massacre-hungry U.S. and Israel governments and blaming Hamas for their massacre addiction, as addicts often blame another for their own character defects.

Behind the Teen Killings

“Every time, Israel claims the moral high ground for its brutal, barbaric action, it blames Hamas,” stated Muzaffar. “It alleges, without an iota of proof, that Hamas was responsible for kidnapping and killing three Israeli teens on 12 June 2014. Hamas denies any involvement in this.

“The death of the teens — a despicable act — provided justification for a large-scale operation against Hamas and other so-called militants. Israeli authorities arrested a number of activists including those released earlier.”

While global media, including Washington Post and New York Times… highlighted killing of the Israeli teens, it ignored critical background information linked to the tragic episode.

Media’s disinformation is a weapon of war that both the US and Israel have perfected after years of refinement and practice.

“It is mainly because of the huge emotional torrent unleashed by anti-Arab venom spewed by some politicians and religious personalities in the wake of the killing of the Israeli teens that some Israeli settlers may have killed a Palestinian teen and burnt his body on the 2^nd of July,” wrote Muzaffar. “This incident — not unexpectedly — provoked thousands of Palestinians to launch angry protests… The Benjamin Netanyahu regime retaliated with harsh punitive measures including missile strikes and the collective punishment of entire communities.”

It is against that backdrop that one needs to view the primitive rockets Hamas launched against Israel, resulting in “few if any deaths.” In fact, when Israel and the U.S. claimed Israelis were panicky, fearing the makeshift rockets over Tel Aviv, the people there were actually going about their daily business, many enjoying summer holidays there on the beach. Those makeshift rockets Hamas fired, however, served as “evidence” for Netanyahu to convince the world Israel was under threat and forced to defend and protect its people.

“This is why one wonders whether as a strategic option the rockets serve a purpose,” Muzaffar asserts. “If anything, the rockets helped divert attention from the underlying motives for Israel’s current aggressive offensive.”

What are those motives? According to Muzaffar, they are:

1. The offensive, ostensibly directed at Hamas, demonstrates Israel’s overwhelming military power in the region, reminding neighbors: No one should trifle with West Asia’s most formidable armed forces. This projection of power is consistent with Israel’s singular obsession, security. In the Israeli psyche, its security is equated with its ability to dominate the region, militarily, hence opposition to any other West Asia state possessing even the remotest capacity to produce nuclear weapons. “Besides, Israel is determined to show friend and foe that it is above the law, norms that apply to other states bear no relevance to it and it’s “exceptional” because Jews are a ‘chosen people.’

2. The need to project its power is all the greater now in view of the reconciliation agreement reached between Hamas and its rival Fatah on April 23, 2014. Israel perceives a united Palestinian liberation struggle as a major threat to its agenda of domination and control through divide and rule. If, as a result of a Hamas-Fatah unity government, Gaza and the West Bank came together, Israel’s plan of keeping them apart and weak would be thwarted.

3. The Netanyahu regime sees more and more people, especially Europeans, wanting justice of the Free Palestine cause, reflected in big corporations and universities supporting the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel. To check this, Netanyahu must again play the victim card: Israel is still under a grave threat; its survival is at stake; do not abandon Israel.

4. Playing victim has new urgency: Iran possibly coming to an understanding with the US and other big powers on its nuclear program.  For Israel, oil-rich Iran with strong scientific base and clear Islamic ideological orientation, challenges Israel’s security and dominance. This explains it going all out to foil Iran’s rapprochement, with the US in particular. The present offensive attempting to link Hamas’s rockets with Iran endeavours to make Iran look like the culprit and Israel’s look like the vulnerable victim.

Those motives reveal an extremely myopic perspective on Israel’s interests, according to Muzaffar, all the more reason why an immediate ceasefire on Gaza is critical. Calls for a ceasefire, from the United Nations Security Council to NGOs, however, are rejected by Israel and the U.S., while acceptable to the Palestinians provided Israeli ends its illegal occupation.

Muzaffar says. “Needless to say, a ceasefire in itself is not a solution. Massacres of this sort will continue unless those fundamental causes of the Israeli-Palestinian/ Arab conflict are addressed: Israeli occupation of Palestinian/Arab land.

“It is because of their situation— their dispossession —that Palestinians and other Arabs are sometimes even prepared to resort to violence to restore their dignity. This is something that the Israeli elite and its backers in the West should understand.

Muzaffar restates what’s been said many times in many languages: “There will be no security for Israelis unless there is justice for the Palestinians and other Arabs.”
