Who is Heidi DeJong Barsuglia's husband?

Heidi DeJong Barsuglia is a lobbyist who works for a public utility and is paid by that public utility to influence Sacramento lawmakers. How she goes about that influence is her business.

We discussed Ms. Barsuglia’s methods of influence here. Since then, googlers often come to the WCV wondering who the cuckold husband is.

Based on publicly available online records, Ms. Barsuglia’s husband appears to be Charles Barsuglia of Granite Bay, a suburb of Sacramento. The Barsuglias appear to have paid $841,000 for their house at the peak of the bubble, and it’s now worth $494,000 according to tax assessments. No wonder Heidi worked overtime.

We’ll note, as we did originally, that it’s theoretically possible that Heidi DeJong Barsuglia is not a prostitute and that Assemblyman Mike Duvall was just a dirty old man who made the whole thing up. But the fact that Heidi hasn’t gone public and demanded a retraction and apology speaks volumes.

The last we heard, Sempra’s internal investigation had found nothing wrong, and Heidi still worked there. So every time you pay your SDG&E bill, you’re paying for “lobbyists” like Heidi to use their charms to get Sacramento lawmakers to do their bidding.
