Toyota Gets Lawsuit in California

After several nearly-fatal accidents where two Toyota Priuses went out of control, the world’s largest car manufactured, Toyota, was served with a lawsuit.
The lawsuit was issued by Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas to keep the auto manufacturer from “continuing to endanger the public through the sale of defective vehicles and deceptive business practices,” according to Reuters.
Toyota had no immediate comment because they have not yet looked at the lawsuit.
Toyota has taken a significant blow to their pocketbooks as well as their reputation with the recent series of recalls.
Several states are considering getting the car company to give free services to Toyota owners when they go and take their cars back to get fixed. New York has already come to an agreement with the car company to give their customers free service like pickup and repairs.
A spokesperson for Rackauckas said the lawsuit for the company to stop “unfair business practices” in a Detroit News article.
