Gen Martin Dempsey: US Ready To Implement A No Fly Zone In Syria

US forces are ready to implement a no fly zone in Syria if it is asked to do so, but it would be difficult because the Syrian air defense system is sophisticated and dense, a top Pentagon official said.

“A no-fly zone is just one option of many that we have analyzed and prepared. It will be difficult because the Syrian air defense system is sophisticated and it’s dense,” said Gen Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff with the US Defence Secretary, Chuck Hagel present with him.

Time and again they have hyped up things like this. Iraq, the Taliban, Libya,they were all suppose be tough too. They were not. If Russia goes ahead and sells Assad those S-300′s though, then that a problem. the S-300 is thee best air defense missile in the world. The American public is vehemently opposed to any intervention in Syria. They are sick and tired of wars. I am sick and tired of wars. Its a waste of lives and money. Money that could be spent on so much goodness but instead is spent on death and destruction. Think about that, let it sink in. Life could be so much better for all of us and they obviously dont want that. -Mort
