Obama - Much ado about Nothing - A. Hany Hassanain

Mr. President Obama did not hold a press conference about Egypt but he gave out a recorded speech to avoid facing presspersons. Most probably he did that not to make a great effort to control his facial expressions and to avoid questions that he did not like to answer.

The monotonous voice of the recorded short speech indicated the many times of montage to adjust his voice not to reveal much emotion. He stressed on two lies; he stressed on that the US did not support the impeached president Morsi and the second lie was that he hopes for democracy in Egypt. Well, after many years of American occupation neither Iraq nor Afghanistan reached democracy but they are torn with civil wars and terrorists attacks.

Obama’s administration supported Morsi even before he was elected as they worked with the Islamists and in particular with the Moslems Brotherhood to rule Egypt. He stressed hard on Tantawy’s Military Council to declare Morsi a president despite the many frauds that joined the election process.

Obama is worried about trial of Morsi and what will be revealed. This is the truth that everyone should know and understand. When Morsi changed the constitution and gave himself unprecedented authority that neither Hitler nor Stalin had the white House kept silent. They never mentions atrocities experienced against women, children and minorities during the one year dictatorship of the Superior Guide rule that Morsi followed to run a big country like Egypt. Even Obama’s administration strategies were the Big Middle East that would divide countries into smaller pieces to over control the region. The other strategy is to spread chaos that allow the weapons industry would profit from it and that would give many cards for the White House to control the youth and to recruit them to send them to fight there in Far East.

Well, President Obama declared emergency in California and other states when looters attacked homes after storms. His forces used maximum violence to end Wall Street sits in. He lectured on Egypt about the human rights and he forgot that Abu Gharib and Guantanamo are controlled by the US armed forces not by the Egyptian authorities.

In fact, Obama got angry because his investment in the Brotherhood to turn Egypt into another Afghanistan or Pakistan. From the start who advised him to do deceived him because there are many differences between the Mediterranean Egyptian and tribal structure of Afghanistan and Pakistan. He worries about what Morsi and other top leaders of the Brotherhood may say during their investigations. All political initiatives that the US or the EU presented focused on safe exit for the assassins and engaging them again in politics.

Although he cancelled the military exercise with the Egyptian armed forces this year, he left the door open for future cooperation. He did not want to anger strategists in the Pentagon. Even if he went to the Security Council he knows that the internal affairs are not enough to use the seventh carter against Egypt and Russia and China will block that. More important, frank military actions against Egypt will be a suicidal decision for Israel and even the US cannot afford this war that may spread soon to be the WWIII. That is why Mr. Obama chose to hide his facial expressions.
