Defense Updates

Published on Jul 6, 2019

The Russian Defense Ministry was quoted as saying by Russian news agencies that 14 Russian submariners have been killed in a incident. As per sources, the incident took place on the AS-31 deep-sea nuclear submarine nicknamed Losharik. Losharik was designed for research, rescue and special operations and can hold up to 25 crew members. As per reports, a fire broke out at 8:30 p.m. on Monday.

The ministry reported, “On July 1 in Russian territorial waters, a fire broke out on board a deep-water scientific research vessel that was studying the marine environment of the world ocean on behalf of the Russian navy. Fourteen submariners died as the result of smoke inhalation … Work is underway to establish the cause of the incident. The investigation is being conducted by the commander-in-chief of the navy.”

The ministry stated, the fire was extinguished “thanks to the self-sacrificing actions of the team,” The incident is believed to have occurred off Russia’s northern shore in the Barents Sea, though the ministry has not provided specific details President Putin stated, “This is a great loss”, A U.S. 6th Fleet spokesperson told USNI News he was unaware of any requests for assistance from the Russian government.

In this video, Defense Updates analyzes the deadly mishap of Losharik sub and what it says about the Russian military. Let’s get started.

So many high ranking officers… 7 captains? Now, what happened is now officially designated a “state secret”. A deep water sub designed to “hack” undersea cables…Most fires on sub’s are caused by batteries that have been exposed to seawater…”a leak?” Somehow I doubt if anyone will get to the bottom of this one…Something tells me, something here was been “demonstrated” hence all the top brass.

It must be an idiot who gives details of any accident/Incident prior to a proper investigation. Listening to your report it is the US patting its own shoulder and in the same breath (as always) makes Russia out to be the ‘bad’ party. The reporting by the West about their own mishaps is always shrouded in secrecy, lying openly without even blushing and therefore cannot be trusted when it comes from the warmonger US/UK/Israeli’s. Do the idiots really think that Russia would be so stupid to put their own people in danger if there was any radiation leak on the Submarine? (B.T.W. Japan is on large scale polluting the ocean by means of radioactive radiation now for years, why don’t the bigmouth US/UK/Israeli’s do anything about that matter!?!) The claim made by some in the US that Russia intended to cut the underwater Internet cables to put a spy device in/on the cable is just as ridiculous! By cutting the cable your opponent would immediately know that there is something suspicious. And don’t even tell me that a missile hit the Russian submarine at those depths, as it would then have imploded due to the water pressure from outside…not just resulting in a fire in the battery compartment. The fact that there were highly trained officers on the new highly sophisticated submarine also does not necessarily imply that Russia was up to something ‘evil’ as some from the US/UK/Israel would falsely claim. I have never seen or heard of a country that is so shit scared like the US for a leaf that is moved by the wind. But when it comes to bragging, the US stands in the front row!

Both solutions appear to be sub nuclear quiet as there is no boiling water and “floating” decks are used. “There is no greater danger than underestimating your opponent.” ~~Lao Tzu (The Art of War) Thankfully our Admirals and Generals do not underestimate the Russians. Although at times I think the Russians underestimate the U.S. with their reckless aircraft flybys and maneuvering ships too close. Those types of miscalculations likely wouldn’t have happened during the Cold War to the extent they happen today. In addition, the military actions of the General Secretariat could be reigned in by the Soviet Politburo; whereas Putin has complete control of the Russian Armed forces.

Russia needs to stop trying to have a Navy. If they would just scrap the ships of theirs that are aging, or are holdovers from the Soviet Union, and then start over from scratch, they’d probably have a pretty good navy. For some reason, Putin and his sad face keep trying to hold on to every ship (hell any Military Hardware) they have. They also have over 10 or 15 Thousand old Soviet tanks that are outmatched by everything every other country has. Its a pretty sad display.

There where way too many captains and high ranking officers, including senior Officers that where supposed to be in their new slbm Belgorod. the Belgorod also carries a top secret nuclear submarine in its belly, as well as 6 poisidon torpedoes with 2 megaton warheads each. The US shot down the ultra stealth belgorod 20 miles into Alaskan waters, and the senior officials as well as another 20 sailors where able to board the smaller sub. It also sustained damage, there are many sailors in the hospital. The US did not follow them into russian waters, and they where rescued in russian waters and the sub towed into northern russia port. This is why airforce 1 and 2 went airborne, a Cobra meeting in the UK, and EU as well as an Emergency meeting in the Pentagon. Virginia class subs patrol Alaskan waters. Sonis sytems picked them up, Sonis are sensors placed all over NATO sea floors for the last 30 years. Russia has a similar system called harmony but its much further behind. This is just a hypothesis.

How are the the guys heroes who averted disaster? They are incompetent idiots who almost caused a disaster. Defiantly not a hero for losing your life trying to stop your screw up. You can guarantee it was someones incompetence and negligence that caused the fire in the first place because of all the precautions and safety systems on a nuclear submarine. Considering the background of the submarine in question, sounds like a case of Karma. Got what they deserved.

The Russian government doesn’t care about its population including their military. There’s more withouts there than with’s. The Russian government holds the world ransom with their nukes. All the while blaming everyone else. Like a child or an oap with dementia. Shame on the people for not taking control over their masters.

That’s what Russians do. Put all in hardware. Very little in training. Especially in life safety training. Russian military concept is attack! Not defend. So those dying may have never opened a safety manuals. Forget about regular safety drills. And generally customary in US Navy multi-level safety systems are discarded for benefits of weapon systems. Russian general concept of low value of a human life. Historical fact
