Supporting Herman Cain

I would like to ask all of the Republicans that keep banging on Governor Chris Christie’s door for his Presidential candidacy to please stop. He will not run and it is the right decision for this election. I want all of you folks to look at Herman Cain. I think that he is the person who can beat President Obama in 2012.

I am voicing my opinion early in the Presidential race knowing that I may risk my reputation, for whatever its worth, by supporting Mr. Herman Cain. If I had expressed this view 3 months ago I know my reputation would be on the rocks. But, I will admit that I did feel that way back then. Now, after his sterling debates followed by his big win in Florida’s straw poll Herman Cain is starting to get the attention he deserves.  So, I feel a bit safer in stating my position.

I believe the citizens of this country, more than anything else, need a President that they can trust, one who knows that he needs to put a team of experienced bi-partisan Americans into the Cabinet to unite a divided nation and attend to fixing our problems. Not rich against poor, conservatives against liberals, black against white, big government against small government, unions against employers, open borders against fences, religion against secularism, public education against vouchers, the Taxpayer against Wall Street, government against the private sector, social security against individual plans, ObamaCare against Constitutional Care, and I could go on. The fact that Herman Cain sits back watching the other candidates, especially Mitt Romney, Rick Perry and even Michelle Bachmann, go after each other and never succumbs to any temptation to step into the ring shows his true game style. He is not a divider… he is a problem solver.

Our nation is in need of a formidable leader who will bring into the Office of the Presidency a knowledgeable team of people who also carry the banner ‘We work for The Citizens of America.’ This would be a stark contrast to the imagery I have of the 1^st tier of candidates who offer a bit of the ‘same old, same old’ – that is a political cronyism that inevitably gets in the way of good government.

I believe the American voter will seek a candidate who above all else has authenticity. Herman Cain has the credentials of a self-made person whose integrity and faith have propelled him thru life. A person whose genuineness, honesty, courage, experience, hardworking personality, common-sense ideas, is just what is needed. We must end the grid on ‘The Hill’ that prevents a compromised approach to solving our ever-growing global economic and political issues. 

I am tired of listening to political rhetoric… and that especially includes President Obama’s.  I want to look at track records. Herman Cain’s record is one filled with many challenges that he met with great successes; many friends and loyal employees; actions that display commitment and dependability; business and banking experience and farsightedness. Please look at Herman Cain’s record, listen to the debates and interviews and read his book.

In the final chapter entitled ‘My Candidacy Against the Odds’ in his book ‘This Is Herman Cain,’  he emphasizes in bold letters the following claims:

1. I don’t claim to know everything;


2. I don’t pander to groups;


3. I am terrible at political correctness.

If you keep this in mind, you too may begin to envision him as our President in 2012. Herman Cain fits the picture well and he has my support.
