Meanwhile, Republicans on Capitol Hill are irked by the White House response. Sen. Jim DeMint, for example, put out a statement:

The death of Ambassador Chris Stevens, American Foreign Service Officer Sean Smith and two other Americans is an outrage.

No.

It is an act of war – and it was carried out by representatives of the current Libyan government, in the persons of the Libyan security team that led the Ambassador to a “safe haven” and then betrayed his location to those who murdered him.

Apparently, however, it is impossible to commit an act of war against an America governed by a Democrat administration, from Jimmy Carter to B.J. Clinton to Barack Hussein Obama. Or, for that matter, an America with a GOP run by a gentry ruling class only vaguely reminiscent of the party of Eisenhower and Reagan.
