Are you ready for REAL change?

Polls show that more than 40% of the American voters identify themselves as independent voters; not affiliated with any party. Almost 70% of Ohioans consider themselves independent as well. How many more accept that the two party, bi-partisan, system has lead us to this point in our nation’s history? Certainly, our country has been down and out before, but we have not experienced the audacity of the “ruling class” to the extent that we have endured for the last six years.

Never, in my lifetime, has the White House been used as a private residence. Never before have I witnessed the massive loss of jobs, healthcare and wealth built by members of the “middle class”. All of this in a flurry of regulations and executive orders that keep the heads of citizens in constant rotation.

I received the following in an email. The email stated, “Warren Buffet is asking each addressee to forward this email to a minimum of twenty people on their address list; in turn ask each of those to do likewise. At least 20 if you can. It has to stop somewhere. In three days, most people in The United States of America will have this message.”

I once worked for a Warren Buffet company. I did not make much, but the company paid part of my health insurance, provided me with a life insurance policy at one and half times my annual salary, a safe work area and produced American made products. That company is still providing manufacturing jobs in Ohio. I sent the email to at least 20 others! If nothing else, send it to your Congressional members.

1. No Tenure / No Pension.
A Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they’re out of office.

2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.

3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void effective 12/31/13. The American people did not make this contract with Congressmen/women.

Congressmen/women made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an honor not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.

If you do not think you are over taxed and under represented; at least consider it!
