Omar Barghouti's Fantastic Statements on Nazi Germany

When Omar Barghouti made his recent appearance at UCLA in January, he made these fantastic statements. “There were Jews in every main position of power in Nazi Germany.” “There were Jewish guards at concentration camps.” In the below audio from the q and a, he makes the comments in succession at the 22:05  minute mark. (This audio was supplied by someone participating in the on-line discussion in the Daily Bruin regarding the recent BDS vote at UCLA.)

First of all, the first statement is false. Shortly after Hitler came to power, Jews were removed from government and the universities. I don’t know what main position of power he is talking about. In the comment thread, one reader defends Barghouti’s comment by referencing German Field Marshal Erhard Milch, whose father was Jewish. That is true as to Milch, who managed to serve in the German Army in the Third Reich as well as a few other Mischlinge. To  use Milch, however, to defend Barghouti’s claim is preposterous. There were different degrees of Mischlinge depending on family background with varying degrees of discrimination under the Nazi racial laws.

As to concentration camp guards, was he referring to the Kapos, who were prisoners who were put to work by the actual guards to help supervise other prisoners? These included Jewish Kapos at death camps like Auschwitz. Those were eventually killed as well after a few weeks or months.

Omar Barghouti is a dissembler, albeit a clever one at that. He poses as a human rights activist, but is anything but. What he is working for is the destruction of the Jewish state of Israel. When you consider the utter lies above, you must wonder what else he is lying about.
