CONFIRMED: Fusion GPS Has Deep Ties To Russia

It was already pretty clear Fusion GPS had previously done work for Russian-linked businesses. Not only is that fact now confirmed, but we also have learned that Fusion GPS was working for Kremlin-linked individuals WHILE they were being paid by the DNC & Clinton campaign to put together the phony dossier on then-candidate Trump.

To summarize the latest Fox News report:

• Fusion GPS was paid by a law firm for work on behalf of a Kremlin-linked oligarch while paying a former British spy Christopher Steele to dig up dirt on Trump through his Russian contacts.
• Glenn Simpson, the co-founder of Fusion GPS, worked with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya during the 2016 election =96 =93Simpson and Fusion GPS were hired by BakerHostetler, which represented Russian firm Prevezon through Veselnitskaya.
• Fusion GPS =93simultaneous financial ties to the DNC, Clinton campaign and Russian interests “raise[s] new questions about the company’s role in the 2016 election”.
• Fusion’s Simpson is believed to have been working with Veselnitskaya and Rinat Akhmetshin, a former Soviet counter-intelligence officer turned Russian-American lobbyist, to overturn=94 American sanctions against Russia.

So just to recap: the DNC and Clinton campaign paid for a Kremlin-linked firm to put together an “opposition research” dossier based on Russian sources, which was then fed to intel agencies and taken seriously by the FBI and Obama admin intelligence officials.

It’s becoming more clear that a U.S. political party and presidential campaign did indeed collude with Russia, but it wasn’t the Republicans.
