Moonbat Lawyer David Buckel Sets Himself on Fire

After decades of ominous warnings, we finally have an actual casualty of climate change. Lefty lawyer David Buckel burst into flames because of global warming — not due to the weather itself, which has been extremely frigid in much of the country, but because he took the hoax far too seriously:

A “green” activist who was a pioneering lawyer for gay and transgender rights … committed suicide by setting himself on fire Saturday morning in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park in a grisly act of protest against the ecological destruction of the Earth.

David Buckel, 60, left behind a charred corpse and a typed suicide note that said he was burning himself to death using “fossil fuel” to reflect how mankind was likewise killing itself, police sources said.

Buckel sure let us know how much he loved the planet. However, his suicide didn’t show much consideration for those who live on it.

“It’s a shock; it’s a shame,” said mom Dana Lall as she shepherded a crowd of Catholic-school kids past the horrific scene, en route to a baseball game.

It’s also a sight likely to inflict psychological damage on any children who happen upon it — though nothing as drastic as the results of the economic collapse that would ensue if we stopped using fossil fuels.

We have two options as to what lesson to draw from Buckel’s self-immolation spectacle: (A) we must abandon fossil fuels for the sake of the planet at once because this guy felt really strongly about it; or (B) a leftist presumably afflicted with homosexual tendencies who was flakey enough to take global warming dogma at face value may be sufficiently screwed up to commit suicide; the path he took should be avoided.
