California Assemblyman Wants to Replace President’s Birthday with Communist Holiday May Day

Instead of taking pride in American history, moonbats regard it as shameful or irrelevant, and find holidays honoring American leaders to be meaningless. As they consolidate power, these holidays will be erased. Already the California Assembly has discussed merging Washington’s and Lincoln’s birthday and then negating them by making a new paid holiday of May Day, celebrating the quintessential anti-American ideology, communism:

Democrat Assemblyman Miguel Santiago introduced Bill AB-3042, which would allow schools to replace Washington Day and Lincoln Day with Presidents’ Day and install an “International Workers’ Day” — conventionally known as “May Day” — as a second holiday.

May Day is a major holiday in communist countries. In countries that are not communist but that are infested with moonbats who wish they were, May Day is an annual day of senseless mayhem.

“I’m aghast that a bill like this would be able to get through committee,” California Republican Assemblyman Matthew Harper said to the Assembly. “Are we in competition to be the laughing stock of the United States?”

Not all. There is no competition. California is the confirmed winner hands down, thanks to the demographic transformation that put moonbats in the driver’s seat.

As Reagan noted, the nine most terrifying words in the English language are, “I’m from the Government, and I’m here to help.” The seven most terrifying are, “As California goes, so goes the nation.”
