Fashion Chain New Look Accused of Discrimination Against the Overweight

The power derived from being discriminated against is not only for persons of preferred pigmentation, Religion of Peaceniks, and sexual deviants. The overweight can join in too — unfortunately for the fashion chain New Look:

New Look is reviewing its prices after an outcry that some larger-sized clothes were more expensive than those in smaller sizes.

Like all businesses accused of political incorrectness, they immediately went into the fetal position and pleaded contrition.

The High Street retailer said it was hoping to “ensure pricing differences like these” did not happen in future.

While moonbats lurch to the conclusion that only discrimination born of pointless malice could explain price differentials, there are other explanations. It can take twice as much fabric to make a large size as a small one.

But moonbats only need one explanation for anything they don’t like.

Plus-size model Nyome Nicholas-Williams told the BBC’s Victoria Derbyshire programme she felt the application of higher prices was discriminatory.

“Some people don’t choose to be the size they are – or height. If you have to pay extra money [for clothes] subliminally it feels like you are being told you have to lose weight,” she said.

Presumably, clothing companies must sell their products at a loss if necessary, so that Nyome isn’t reminded that she needs to lose weight — although her doctor would be remiss not to bring it up.

Any added expense could be a hard burden to bear for New Look:

Earlier this year, New Look announced it would close 60 UK stores and cut 1,000 jobs as part of a financial restructuring.

It will be so much simpler when Jeremy Corbyn types take control and impose communism. They can follow the Soviet method of clothing production. Everything is made in a single size and anyone who doesn’t like it can either shut up or else.
