Florida State Senator Daphne Campbell Calls Cops on Reporter

Trump gets coordinated heat for allegedly oppressing the overwhelmingly left-leaning media. Yet somehow it is not surprising to read that when a politician sics authorities on a reporter for asking questions following a campaign event, it is a Democrat. Florida State Senator Daphne Campbell called 911 from a North Miami Beach restaurant to demand that police do something about Miami Herald reporter Sarah Blaskey.

Yelled Campbell:

“Can you please send a police for me, please, right now. … I have a lady who threatened me a lot. … I’m not going to argue with no one. She threatened me right now. I need protection.”

Blaskey threatened the State Senator of Color by asking questions during a question-and-answer session. After Campbell refused to answer her, she hung around listening instead of slinking away.

Campbell must have thought that a tune-up from the police would teach her a lesson. But the police were probably racists; they wouldn’t arrest Blaskey.

This has happened before:

Earlier this year, Ms Campbell called the police on a reporter who was recording her speaking with members of the Miami Shores council and leaving after a meeting. Police did not make any arrests then either.

Maybe next time it will work, if only she could get the right cops.
