Levi’s Attacks Gun Rights

If you have any respect for your country and those who have served it, you aren’t likely to buy Nikes. If you feel the same way about the Second Amendment, you won’t buy Levi’s either. Another iconic American brand goes all in with the far Left:

Levi Strauss announced … it would be partnering with Everytown for Gun Safety and Michael Bloomberg to form Everytown Business Leaders for Gun Safety in a blogpost on their website. It also said it would set up the Safer Tomorrow Fund, which Levi Strauss said would direct more than $1 million over the next four years to “fuel the work of nonprofits and youth activists who are working to end gun violence in America.”

“Gun violence” is what progressives call the fundamental right of self-defense while they are attacking it. Like all things leftist, it is a lie; disarming the law-abiding is not likely to reduce gun violence.

The company went on to say it would begin doubling the amount it matches for employee donations to gun-control groups aligned with the fund and pushed employees to use their five hours a month in paid volunteer time at the gun-control groups.

Every time you buy a pair of Levi’s, a portion of the money goes to fund the Left’s relentless assault on the Constitution.

Get a barf bucket ready. CEO Chip Bergh congratulates his company for being principled and courageous enough to try to shoulder its way toward the front of the mob of corporations seeking to publicly align themselves with leftist politics:

“As a company, we have never been afraid to take an unpopular stand to support a greater good.”

How thoughtful of blue jean manufacturers to decide for us whether our Constitution serves the greater good.

Bergh then positions the attack on gun rights within the broader progressive agenda, which he praises his company for long having served:

“We offered benefits to same-sex partners in the 1990s, long before most companies did. We pulled our financial support for the Boy Scouts of America when it banned gay troop leaders. While each one of these stands may have been controversial at the time, history proved the company right in the long run.”

Most history books are missing the chapter where allowing self-proclaimed homosexuals to take underage boys out in the woods was proved to be right.

As Bergh barks, San Francisco–based Levi Strauss has been a moonbat company for a long time. That’s why I stopped wearing their overpriced jeans well over a decade ago. Now they are getting noisier about it. It isn’t easy to out-moonbat Nike, Procter & Gamble, Silicon Valley, and the rest of the corporate herd.
